111.7 ORtG (+3.4 relative to league average)
98.8 DRtG (-9.5 relative to league average)

+12.9 NetRtG

And now the 69 minutes/167 possessions with Gordon next to them:

103.6 ORtG (-4.7 relative to league average)
130.7 DRtG [NOT A TYPO] (+22.4 relative to league average)

Meanwhile Harden is averaging 18.8 FTA per 100 possessions, which is more than the Indiana Pacers as a team at 17.6 per 100 possessions.

Since the Miami disaster the team is #1 on defense allowing 98.5 points per 100. 5 games against an extremely weak schedule of course, but that is still a very encouraging sign. I thought they would be a bottom third defense this year but if they stay healthy they could actually end up quite solid.

I thought the rockets defense was going to be a laughing stock this year, but in their winning streak, they play very well.

what a horrible start. He looks absolutely awful when theres no consistent scoring/shooting options around him

Draymond has sort of been half-assing it in the regular season for a couple of years now. But this year he doesn't have the team around him to carry him and he's not going to have a playoffs to show up for.

honestly I don't even know how to compute some of the box scores some of these dudes are putting up at this point, everything feels inflated, i'm at the point where I'm gonna end up throwing all box scores out the window honestly

At least according to basketball-reference, overall ORtG is (way) down so far, but yeah, I'm with you.

Last season, there were 777 games in which a player had 30 points or more, ie in 31.6 % of the total games. This season, there have been 110 30 point performances so far, ie in 34.1 % of the total games The difference is not that big, but it does feel like there's hardly a game where you don't have a random guy going off.

Melo putting PDX back on the map haha

Desperate times, desperate measures and all that jazz. Hope Melo can revive his career, no one wants to go out like that...make it count man.

In hindsight kinda crazy he only signed a 2 year deal with LAC.

maybe not throwing them out completely but they're still useuful as an indication of a player's tendencies, to the minimum. Harden and Doncic are generational offensive talents (+ they're perfect for this era, you can imagine the results!); Young I'm still not sure but he's doing crazy things too and he's also perfect for this epoch.
PS: There's also more talent (in absolute value) spread around the league. It's a combination of things.

What the boxscore has always measured primarily. Not effectiveness.

And my man Favors beasted last night, love seeing him get a chance as the primary big for a squad :)

I automatically adjust in my head. When I see 20 points I think 15. When I see 30 I think 25. When I see 50 I think 40.

No, he is no more than a decent defender right now. OG impressed me most on that end before his injury

Don't have to throw them out. Just re-calibrate. It's like how in American football 4000 yards used to be a ton for a QB, now its not. In baseball everyone has more home runs and strikeouts. In hockey the offensive stars can't average 2 points a game because the schemes and goalies are too good.

Don't compare the offensive numbers of today with the guys in the 90s. But you can still be impressed with what guys like Giannis, Lebron, Luka etc are doing.

Well he does have a player option for a third season. Maybe he thinks there's always going to be a team out there willing to sign a star to the max even if they have an extremely questionable health situation, like with Durant.

Nash is my favorite player of all time. More importantly, he’s just a good human being. That story that Q mentioned about him volunteering to give up salary so that the Suns could fall under the cap to sign Q was incredible. And more incredible that no one even heard about it until now.
