Warriors' dismal present could lead to a bright future

The Warriors core was sooooo tired too....so having them take a year off completely makes sense....A left handed injury to Curry...Klay with an entire year to recover.....and it gives Myers and Lacob a chance to REALLY reload and put a championship level team (Curry, DLO, Klay and Draymond were not going to be a 'chip level team as it turns out. Defense with Curry and DLO wasn't going to work out.

BTW....this makes DLO getting traded a must. Based on even the few games we saw...playing the two of them together...awful defensively.

I think 4 games is too small a sample size to make a final determination. I would like to see a bigger sample size to determine how well, or poorly, Steph, and D-Lo mesh together. And a fair sample size to see how Klay fits in. Unfortunately we may not get that opportunity.

Even if it is a #1 pick. I would use it on trade package for Greek Freak. He is a Curry fanboy, hope he wants to be teammate with Curry.

A Wiseman and Paschall development may cause some pause for that deal, and only for that deal

Obviously you trade the pick for Giannis if that deal could be made. But it's a long shot.

Otherwise, it may be worth using the pick, hoping to get a perennial all-star who will last beyond the Splash Bros and Draymond core.

He would have been a useful piece on a playoffs team. But then he could probably get a better contract for next season than the minimum.

Nice scoring punch off the bench can be valuable to playoff teams. He's been pretty solid. 14 ppg on good percentages in 25 minutes.

I'd actually like to keep Burks for next year, but he may price himself out if he stays healthy.

Burks has had some good games. He used to punish the Warriors while on the Jazz, before his injuries.

I think he's a better scoring option off the bench than the guys they had during the run like Cook, Clark and certainly Livingston and Iggy their last two seasons.

I don't know if he can defend. He's got the size that Clark and Cook doesn't have.

NBA should fix the draft for the Warriors anyways, regardless of where they finish, kind of like them giving the Lakers the #2 pick in 3 consecutive drafts.
