I'm hoping the Sixers falter and they realize they need to trade Simmons or Embiid and we can package Dlo, the top pick plus whatever else for Simmons or even better Giannis.
I used to think the same thing and tried to look at prospects that would fill our needs rather than the most talented ones but I changed my mind. You don't do that if you get a Top 5 pick.
Getting one is rare enough and the Warriors didn't think they would be in this position to get such a high pick in a long time. So if the Warriors get a Top 5 pick, go for the talent. Even more reasons to do it now that they changed the lottery odds.
They were three sure top prospects last year (Zion, RJ and Ja). Every pick after those three were a crapshoot. This year, there only seems to be one sure guy in Wiseman (unfortunately, we won't see him play much,) and then you have a bunch of intriguing guards. You you don't really have forwards which is what we desperately need but it his what it is.
By the way, look up at Jordan Nwora guys. He's a junior 6/7 small forward from Louisville and has improved every year. He's really impressed to start the year. He's an elite shooter, is versatile, a great rebounder and seems to be a high caracter kid. He even broke the record for most points in Nigeria history scoring 36 points in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers in the summer.
He's been improving immensely every year. Very few people know him right now but he's already risen up really quick in the draft boards to start the year.
