Re: MVP Discussion [19/20] [part I]
I love this narrative that the MVP can now only be a competition between who has the worst bench "cuz plus-minus". It's just annoying and frustrating that so many people still don't know how to properly analyze and contextualize raw on/off data. Imagine trying to nitpick a +10 Rtg. differential on a +10 SRS team and say that it's way less "impressive" than a guy who leads his team to the 9th ranked offense just cuz the offense sucks without him out there dominating the ball.

Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, Doncic - all guys who are 25 and under - look like the front runners for years to come
The NBA's worst nightmare.
This is actually the best thing that could happen to the NBA & Basketball. It's popularity in the US is pretty much saturated the more international the game becomes, the larger it's fan base becomes, the more money it makes. Also, the more popular the game becomes, the more people start playing basketball outside of the US, the better the overall product becomes.

Just saw that Kemba was injured. Haven't heard anything else or read through this thread, but I want to say I hope he will be ok. Great guy and team mate and stepped up along with his fellow Cs for FIBA, so huge respect for all of them.

Why can't you hack-a-player inside 2 minutes? Is that a new rule?

Seems like Luka is destined to finish top 5 in mvp voting this year if he plays 75+ games. He's been toying with the league the last 4-5 games.

I think it's becoming more and more obvious.
One thing i'm almost sure is that he is already the best passer in the league.

Lebron is still leading the league in assists with Luka second - crazy that these two lead the league.
I don't think Luka has a shot to win MVP this season unless the Mavs win a bunch of games - probably 55 or more (unlikely) which seems a little unfair to me since I think Lebron, Harden, and Giannis have better teammates. Still, Luka even being in the conversation in his 2nd year at the age of 20 is insane.

True but Luka if i'm not mistaken is one of the players with the highest loss in term of potential assists this season so far, much more than LBJ.
Also plays 1 min less than LeBron.
And even though I agree that on paper, Mavs don't look a 55 wins team, the way they're playing now despite KP still struggling and with Luka improving almost every week, I certainly wouldn't bet against them doing it.

Haha what!?
In what shape or form?
Giannis and Joker being drafted or that 3 yrs or what it was that Embiid spent in the US prior to the NBA?
This is ridiculous
But I'm curious what's next...

Luka has a shot if he continue to play at a super star level and that Dallas won over 50 games.
