Leaving aside the 'culture' Brand/Brown are trying to instill, our team is pretty low BBIQ. So Lavine would still fit in well.

We just retained Mike Scott and signed Trey Burke so the whole culture thing is arbitrarily applied. Why not make another exception. One that could pay huge dividends in the playoffs.

Zach Lavine: 49 points on 28 shots
Coby White: 28 points on 19 shots
What a night for my Chicago guys. Wendell Carter had a really good all-around game, too. I would really like to see this team get unlocked with a non-dinosaur coach.

Issue with Lavine is he’s not that good most days. He’s just getting 51TS% this season.
He’s OK to be our 6th man. But to be the no.2 guy or our closer, we need to dream bigger.

Are you sure you read it right? From what I'm looking it, it says he's posting a 54.7% true shooting this year. And over 55% since getting to Chicago.

Re: Around the League - 2019-2020
Lavine as a #1 option:
21.7 ppg (24.1 per 36) on 55.5% true shooting and a 21.6% assist percentage through 100+ games.
I don't see a reason to keep selling him short. He's producing like a star, he's maintaining star level efficiency. He's distributing like the typical secondary distributor, too. He's doing everything you'd want offensively.

Watching one of 8 minute highlight videos from the game...
Can you imagine what we'd do to Brett if he lost a game where he was up 7 with under 30 seconds to play?
That's an all time 3 point shooting performance out of LaVine. Amazing the amount of open corner 3s he was getting all game. And some of those shots at the end were just ridiculous.
Also of note from this one, Devonte Graham continues his impressive start. Seems like he's been what they hoped Rozier could be for them with that contract.

Stats must not have been updated for that game yet. His TS% jumped 3 points on the season after that performance.

Basing it on basketball reference probably not updated

Would you now admit that Brandon Ingram is better than Marvin Williams and Harrison Barnes and that he developed into a star in the exact time frame I predicted?

Personally, I think there's enough trackrecord to suggest that Lavine has no trouble maintaining efficiency at high volume.

I was wrong on Ingram. That being said, if I threw **** at the wall all day on this forum some of it would stick too. So, pat yourself on the back. I'd be happy to go back and quote all your awful takes and times you've switched sides, but I'd rather not stoop to your level.

What the hell is wrong with Markkanen? Guessing coaching? Anyway, I would take that kid over here in a heartbeat.

Coaching is definitely a major reason why some individuals (Porter, Markkenen) are struggling in Chicago. Bulls management just cannot get the right coach to match whatever personnel they have, at the time.
They had a finesse, modern coach (Hoiberg) with a bunch of oldschool, rugged players (Butler, Wade, Rondo). Now they have an oldschool dinosaur coach with a bunch of finesse, offensive leaning players.

Man if this is really Westbrook now, Houston’s window is closed. Not sure they can flip him for anything of value. Even if OKC can’t unload CP3, Presti got a steal.

That's how that works. Vaguely remembers vehemently disagreeing with a take. Self-attributes it as being awful. Turns out to be spot on. "Uhh, yeah but I don't like the way you said it." Rinse and repeat.

Doncic feels like the best player on the court. Are we sure he's not already better than Harden? One head to head doesn't mean a lot, but the framing of it can tell a story.
20 years old, and possibly the best offensive player in the NBA.

Havent seen Doncic much but his stats are obviously much better than what i expected. Still, i dont think that is his real level and i think he is in for some regression.
