Mark my words, Russ is going to have a sub 45% TS series and shoot the rockets out of a game or two, costing them the series

Thats been happening for almost all of his career specially the last 2 postseasons
Russ 10/30, 1/6 from 3 - 19pts

 Harden 11/38, 4/20 from 3/...........

this pairing is about as bad as many here expected it to be

If I was a Rockets player I'd be dead inside watching my backcourt go 18/68 combined.

But hey...at least they were flawless from the line.

It's a top 3 offense, but the defense is mediocre. So it actually is working offensively.
Yesterday looked like a playoff preview though.

Rockets’ offense looks highly skewed. They’ve put up huge ORTGs against non-playoff teams cause Harden had put up some ridiculous numbers against them. But I imagine that their offense has looked less than stellar against playoff-bound teams.

116 ORTG against MIA, 114 against LAC, DAL, IND all in the last two weeks.

Just calculated that they averaged a 109 ORTG this season against all teams currently in the playoff picture and a 120 ORTG in games against teams not in the playoff bracket. Even in the non playoff bracket, their ORTGs are skewed by the 145 and 154 they put up against Washington and Atlanta lol.

How does this compare to the other top offenses?

Re: The James Harden Thread (2019-20)
I don't want to sound rude, but it's nonsense to draw conclusions from such a small sample of size. Given Harden's history I'm almost sure that Rockets still will finish elite offensively in RS.

Re: The James Harden Thread (2019-20)
I'm honestly curious how the NBA is gonna handle this dunk not counting situation. Completely baffling that NBA officials didn't see what happened and didn't fix the problem at the time. Kinda pathetic.

Dallas has averaged 112 against playoff teams and 122 against non playoff teams.

Not saying that they’re not. But how robust is that offense? And is that ORTG being propelled by some monster blowouts against some pretty bad teams?

Not only that it sounds like Mike tried to challenge and they didn’t let him.

We'll find out in the playoffs. I expect them to finish top 3 regular season offense

Re: The James Harden Thread (2019-20)
I never knew this but apparently as I just found out James has asthma. Honestly this might explain why he gets so gassed in the playoffs every year. I think Roy Hibbert dealt with something similar.

Re: The James Harden Thread (2019-20)
I believe that's part of the reason he runs/works out after games to try to keep conditioning up despite his asthma. Not sure how much it effects him during games tho.

Hopefully they just ignore the Rockets' temper tantrum. That team is cringe beyond belief.

It cost them a loss. That likely could be the different between the 4/5 seed. That's huge.
