Oh wow what happened to UNC?

Cole shot well from downtown 4-8 3fg but was he really 0 out of 7 from inside?

Draft Wiseman, sign FVV.

I'm not really impressed by any of these guards, this draft looks like a 1 man show in Wiseman.

Lamelo - most star power (Imo)
Cole- Makes the most sense.
Nico- best fit wise

i would take any of them at point guard

Worried about Cole’s lack of wiggle and creativity on drives. Aggressive part is good and so is his handle...

I kinda know what you mean but yet I still can't help but love how he runs a team. Imagine if he actually had shooters and more space to work with. It just feels like he doesn't have much room to operate with this UNC team, no real floor spacers out there. They are starting to use him a lot more off the ball because he's their best outside threat. But back to your point, yeah he hasn't shown that wiggle but I do see the explosiveness but he needs angles to exploit it.

I like guys who don't need explosion to get where they want and Cole is that kind of guy. Sure the lack of explosion probably limits his overall ceiling but he's got great feel and carries himself like a great player. That kind of stuff goes a long way IMO. Hell look at how RJ has translated better to the pros than he did on college. Similat concerns but finds ways to be a positive player because of a belief and a feel for the game. Cole's skill is unmatched outside of maybe LaMelo but i have way less questions about Cole than I do about LaMelo. If the Knicks can draft Cole they should just set it and forget it. He's the surest thing there is in this draft IMO.

Nobody likes TYRESE HALIBURTON though? he's right up their with the rest of the point guards he's just not a shiny new toy coming into college.

This is the guy! Sign FVV or trade for DLO to run the point. I’m even ok with Frank.

Wiseman isn’t part of the show.

Cole will definitely be a better NBA player than college player and he's already a pretty good college player. The thing with him and that UNC team is he's searching for help and it's been hard to find. The opposing defenses constantly try to trap him and make him give up the ball and the team he's on has no real scoring options. That kid Armando Bacot is like the 2nd best player he has but he's more of a post player who's ok but nothing special. There are no Justin Jackson, Cam Johnson, Luke Maye type of guys on that team. And Cole lacking that elusive ball handling and creativity isn't going to create things out of nothing for the guys he has, he will simply just make the right play most of the time. When it comes to him scoring, he can score with the best of them though but would be even more dangerous if he had shooters like Cam or Jackson still there but they aren't.

If the Knicks do draft him though, they do need to build around him and RJ and spread that floor and play more uptempo. So a 2 guard sniper, stretch 4 and even a serviceable stretch 5 (doesn't have to be somebody great but even an Aaron Baynes type would do wonders just keeping the defense honest from outside) would be vital.

I'm not really worried about the defense. I think he will surprise on that end the way his brother did. The concern there is effort-based. To me the biggest concern is his shot. Particularly if drafted by the Knicks considering the current toster is devoid of real shooters.

His brother was always a good defender, whereas LaMelo was always a sieve.

I think they're both overrated.

Why is no one talking about Killian Hayes???
Dude is Luka like in the pick and roll.
But electric athletically and just as elite a passer.

A little wild but man, gun to my head I’m drafting him over Cole and RJ Hampton. And if the Euro history here is a deterrent it adds even more to the case for this regime to not be the ones making this selection anyway.

And I’d even think long and hard picking him over Lamelo just because of the circus Ball kids bring.
