I just don’t see the value in a guy whose best position is center but he is undersized and can’t play defense. At his best, he is a luxury on a good team who can win without him. I hope we move him the first chance we get.

the THJR comparisons are really off base. Randle past two season has TS% over 60%. So he's at least a very efficient offensive player and his contact is half as long. Hardaway wishes he was anywhere near as good as an offensive player as Randle. If Randle doesn't continue to grow like he did last year you can cut base with him after next year, while he plays tank commander. We probably need two more top 5 picks to build a contender anyways.

Randle is a slightly better version of Zack Randolph who is being used incorrectly. He could be great coming off the bench or as a starter if he is featured for about 12 shots a night near the basket. He's not a point forward and needs to be surrounded by guys who can make up for his lack of defensive capacity. I would trade Randle in a second - I always thought he was a slightly more talented Kanter (not because their game is similar but because they can score and rebound but dont play defense) - but for now I blame the woes on coaching and he is averaging nearly 5 assists.

Hopefully he continues to play well and the Knicks can get something of value for him.

Yeah the Tim Hardaway comparisons are lazy and terrible. Just like the Kanter ones.

This man is floundering out there. Horrible signing so far. I don’t think we’ve put him in the right position to succeed but he’s been exposed as nothing more then a 3rd or 4th option.

He's not a Batman or a Robin. That's all. Neither is Morris. They are both being put in that role here. Basically by default. It's clear as day things Randle needs to work on...being a focal point magnifies it. Hopefully Mike Miller recognizes these things and puts him in a better positon to succeed...as well as for team success. Fizdale having him play LeBron was terrible. Last night...he didn't do that as much.

He's not trash. He's not a number 1 or 2 option. He's not getting a max deal for 4 years either. I'm not down on the dude like others. I think he and Morris need to be staggered AND playing 4/5 together when they are on the court.

Better off trading him next season. Yes he sucks, but I think his numbers will look better without Marcus Morris next season. And we can get away with just waiving him if necessary.

this is the problem.

i didn't like KP, and i'm glad he left, but it was quite the expense just to unload the **** contract of timmy.

if mills/perry are still around, i wouldn't put it past them to trade picks away, despite what they said earlier

randle reminds me of both JR Smith and melo. the second they get the ball, i always assumed an inefficient, stupid, retard-level shot, or a turnover.

majority of the time i was correct in thinking so, and it still holds true with randle

Zach Randolph? , The guy who led those qualitiy Grizzlies teams is the western playoffs? for multiple years I don't think Randle could hold a prime Randolph's jockstrap.

It would be poetic (in a bad way) for Pills to use those Dallas picks to unload Randle, lol.

Who was paying Randle $20 for 1-year or $30 for 2-years? This is why Perry and Mills need to be eliminated. There was no team in the league with either of those offers on the table. No team in the league with $15 million for Bobby **** Portis.

yup, poetic, but not farfetched.

they may just do it, out of spite, because they know their days are limited

There’s no way it should take picks to unload Randle if that’s what they want.

I wouldn’t trade him. Use him correctly

I don’t want mills or Perry trading anyone. Trade these two scrubs for a real GM then see about trading Randle. Give mills free reign and he’ll trade Randle and include RJ just to rid himself of Dennis Smith

Randle can go for a 2nd rounder. Dallas can actually use him at PF to help Dallas with the boards and Doncic/Barea/Brunson will take the ball away from Randle.

Addition by substraction type situation for us. The only thing Randle expects to be a full time starter and thats the problem. I dont ge the vibe he is open to coming off the bench and that is why he is harder to move. Teams have to commit to his demands.

Yesterday, Nic Batum was a DNP-CD.

Charolette’s coach James Borrego said recently “You have to value your time on the floor. This isn’t a God-given right to step on the floor and just go through the motions.”

Imagine if we had a coach who valued accountability instead of placating a net negative Tasmanian devil wanna-be in Randle because he’s the highest paid player on the team.
