If you don't think Korver is "working out," check out the pic below. Just sticking him in the corner is impactful. A few plays later, he freed up Giannis for another dunk with a backscreen. Judging him simply on his 3pt%, especially on low volume, is ill informed.

Owning the Clippers and posters on this board have made me more wary of trading for Redick.
That’s less due to his game and more to the contributors we’d have to deal to acquire a contract that high.
Matthews and Donte would be the big losers with a minutes crunch which could impact our defense and chemistry as well.
All that said...it still seems worth keeping an eye on his status.

Pacers pick for Kostas or nothing. Fu-k JJ Redick.
Stand Connaughton Horsty, you got B2B EOTY & a Larry O'Brien incoming.

Yep. Korver has that off-the-ball-shooter gravity where teams will just not leave him even if it means giving up a wide open dunk. Only other guy on the team with any semblance of that is Middleton.

Pat and Sterling Brown contributing significantly is also what made it possible for the Bucks to thrive despite Middleton’s absence.
Korver is the only one who might not be working out. But the season is long and that could still happen.
Or we find a way to upgrade that 3-point sniper bench role if he is done. That player might not get many minutes though unless we’d be thinning out the rotation elsewhere.
Krover has been pretty bad so far, but I'm willing to have patience with him, after I've seen Wesley come around after it took him time to integrate. Hill also took time off the bench last year, and became huge later on.
I'm willing to give Korver some time to integrate, maybe it takes longer coming off the bench.
Also, I think he's giving guys tips on 3pt shooting, and I saw something that said Giannis has texted Korver at night and asked to bet him with 3pt shooting contests.
We know Giannis is competitive, and we know he values money, so I'm thinking if at off nights he's battling Korver to 3pt contests, then damn, I'm sure come game time Giannis is like...This is easy!
I'd keep Korver just for that!!!

Would love Terrance Ross in our Korver role and taking some of Wes' minutes. Would need to figure out the added salary though. I think Ross could really light it up from 3 on this team.

Robin Lopez plays, and he's terrible. He was somehow -15 in our udder beat down of the Clippers. The team has been much better when they use 2 PFs.

Korver does so many little things that he never gets credit for.

Difference between him and some random sharpshooter is that not only is he a guy you have to be right up on, that defender is basically in a track running start position facing away from the basket because Korver might take off for one his crazy sprinting curl runs.

Also helps that Patterson got himself into a terrible position. Did so a few times.

Korver is also setting back screens that have set up free dunks for Giannis which don't show up in box scores. Really hope Donte picks that one up.

Final Korver love moments: him running around like a headless chook to get Giannis open.
2. Putting in work with DJ Wilson. He's absolutely helping him with his game and they work well on court together. This is like a JET move but with actual on court coaching.

JET ---> Wes is **** great progress as far as having an old vet who can play.
For the sake of this comparison Korver gets compared to Novak.
Delly ---> Donte also seemed popular and Rodzilla hasn't seen it yet so I'm repeating in case he has a google alert.
Henson ---> Rolo is also a nice upgrade even if I'm still not sure about having another plodder out there.
One might even argue that DJ is a little upgrade on Thon for the young energy big role.
**** the Kidd era.

I think we signed Korver for two reasons.
1. To help us in the playoffs games.
2. To help his teammates with his shooting technique.

Couple notes:
1. DDV isn't going anywhere. We'd be absolutely mental to trade him.
2. Korver's impact is huge, even in spot minutes.
3. RLo isn't that bad. What'd people expect with that signing? Come playoffs when we need a bruiser to back up Brook he's the perfect fit.
4. Patty C + Donte are crucial for high energy spurts that can either keep us in control of the lead or help spark a comeback.
5. Wes' D has been understated.
I'd prefer not to touch the team in any fashion unless it's a great trade. This isn't like last year where we had a ton of expendable guys like Henson, Thon, Delly, Snell. The only player I could come to terms with trading is Ersan and maybe DJ (although I'm still hesitant on DJ - now I know why we picked up his option).

Imo the RoLo part is not overstated. Teams all around the league are electing to play less and less true bigs and more players with guard skills. If you can't punish other teams going small you're better of going small yourself. RoLo is pretty good at doing so offensively (but we're only slowly learning to utilize him) but on defense he's been bad. If he doesn't figure that end out, we're better off just going small.

With Giannis and Rolo on the court we have 97.6 defensive rating, or in other words really **** good. What are they figuring out? How to be the 04 Pistons?
Also should mention again that Robin Lopez is #3 in the league at defense near the rim. Pick and roll defense puts him at the 93rd percentile at .6 PPP.

He's been fantastic as a post defender the past ten days, especially with those starts.
But hey, we've had ten years of "Lopez sucks" on this board relating to both of them, so I'm used it. Going to take RoLo punching Embiid in the nuts during round two to bring some people around.

His first few weeks were rough, even for me, but he's settled in and is contributing fine. Maybe there's better combos out there that force him to the bench eventually (please DJ, please be that guy) but having him out there really doesn't hurt us and his ability to step in and spell his brother will probably come in handy during the long season.
But yeah, much like Wes I assume people will come around. I understand it's hard for people to admit their "he's done, it's through, it's over" stances are tough to swallow. Sometimes that Jerry Stackhouse isn't as finished as a Hammond hater thought though. Sometimes the Rolo has a worse RPM then Thon Maker and only averages 5 rebounds a game has some context behind it.

Eh, there's a difference between "Lopez sucks" and not wanting to give up assets to pay RoLo's $12 mil expiring, re: the debates last season. At the $4 mil room exception, he's a great value. Also, some of us were on the BroLo bandwagon 3 years ago even when Kidd was still mucking up the Bucks' offense.
