Star potential is what we need.
Lamelo Anthony Edwards wiseman. Even Cole Anthony who I’m not High on still has great potential.

Tyerese haliburton isnt that. Neither is some of these other people. If we fall out of getting one of those 4, then I’d rather a trade down and try and get 2 shots at lotto picks

I liked Cole Anthony the way I liked Trae in college... ended up turning on Trae because of his bad shot chucking on meh %.... Cole is far worse % wise... don’t think we can afford someone that bad with shooting. Maybe he can improve in time like Trae did, but he’s got a longer way to go.

If Scott Perry is GM - With the 5th pick in the 2020 NBA draft the New York Knicks select... Cole Anthony
If Masasi Ujiri is GM - With the 5th pick in the 2020 NBA draft the New York Knicks select... Onyeka Okongwu

He's so smooth.

Yeah he's got some Dejounte in his game too. Can't front though I hate his shot, don't know how he makes it but he does.

It's sooo slow and low to the ground. SGA's shot is slow as well, which is what I was originally thinking. Big guard, slow shot, more craft than athleticism.

Tyson Chandler and Mitch shot well from the field, do they have good touch? Wiseman is all paint and in on his makes, except when he’s not (see EYBL and his horrible 50s TS% ... as a big).

Lateral quickness / hip turns are an issue. He was exposed the only time he’s been caught on a switch this year...Penny is dropping him / not switching because he can’t get caught on an island. He’s a drop big. Disagree on your review of his athletic components, but that’s cool :) Discussions are fun.

Star in making is...very bold, but we’ll see I guess.

Do you think he's on Amare's level athletically?

Absolutely not

Ok, really no shame in that, Amare was on his own level. If Wiseman is even "David Robinson" athletic, I'd take that.

This team needs go getters though

Edwards or cole fits the bill

Nico would be a nice consolation prize. Unselfish and can shoot it. Kind of skeptical whether he can get his own in the NBA.

not really worried about his jumpshot he is pretty much NC's only option he has to do everything his #s wont look efficient that team is awful.

Best fit for the knicks would be nico mannion but i dont feel he is a superior all around talent over cole though. i think cole has more strengths on both ends while nico is a better floor general and shooter. but at the end of the day id take any of nico, cole or lamelo their all better than what the knicks are currently dishing out at point guard.

Cole's shooting splits are horrible and he has a negative assist to turnover ratio, he's not a PG by any stretch of the imagination. I'd avoid him at all costs and trade down if he's the BPA, he's essentially a worse Colin Sexton with a famous father. Ja Morant played with significantly less talented teammates and was still able to post nice shooting splits and a positive ast/to even as a freshman, if a guy is shooting under 70% from the freethrow line as a 6'2 guard I don't want him.

I'm taking Halliburton over him every time.

Morant is a superior talent if he was in this draft he'd be the #1 player in the draft easily. but there are no trae youngs, doncics, zions or morants in this draft you cant really compare. Edwards is your closes swing at a homerun

but even to entertain it Cole is 9 games in with 34 turnovers, Morant 9 games in was at 39 turnovers vs weaker competition and thats with both guys logging in 30+ mpg (morant did have better assits numbers though no denying that). I cant throw cole under the bus this early though

Nico is my favorite player in the draft not speaking in the terms as i feel he is the best player in the draft just my favorite player and i wouldnt mind trading back for him at all because he's what the knicks need at point guard.

i like hailburton too but not on the knicks. Hailburton / RJ is right down the knicks alley of creating a weird backcourt that doesnt mesh correctly.

All im saying is the knicks need to start looking a guards that want to be a threat on the floor and apply pressure on the defense from the perimeter. im tired of these non confident, scary passing guards who the defense just sags off of. The knicks need to start creating a up to date looking roster.

guys

teams now score in the 120s and 130s without OT

you need starters that can score. We've already seen what happens when you draft a PG that can't score.

Take Lamelo Ball out of your vocabulary
