Too many teams literally don't give a **** , it's just the tanking. Funny how we own the kings and grizz picks and how different they manage the season when they don't own their pick.

Would love to see lottery reform and stop this nonsense.

Ja and JJJ are just too good too early. The value of this pick has tanked completely, similar to our SAC pick from last year. What a bummer. I want it to convey this year because MEM ain't gonna get worse in 2021 for sure. Hopefully they encounter a rough stretch soon, but there are just so many bad teams in the league right now...

Going into this season, we thought the FO was low key trying to keep the pick. Our backup center on paper was Bruno Caboclo. We have a rough stretch of games to end the season and there is a good chance Crowder is moved before the deadline so the Grizz may very well drop in the standings.

I want Oyenka Okongwu. By next year Memphis will be a playoff team so it’s better to get a lottery pick this year.

It would've been better for us if Gasol and Conley were still Grizzlies lol.

This draft, and CBB as a whole, is pretty awful and in a down year. Likely will end up with MEM pick around the 10th pick. Only guy who intrigues me is Isaac Okoro from Auburn.

How about N'Faly Dante? Or do we have enough young centers already?

the memphis pick is looking really bad, that along with the level of Ainge in the draft with mid and low rounds, his obsession with quantity and not quality (I doubt he tries to make a trade up or anything to consolidate assets) makes it even worse, we should forget about getting something good with those picks.

Trade all of them tbh. If you keep Hayward next year, you're looking at 0 spots left between the 1-4 with the Jays, Romeo, Kemba, Smart, Grant and GH. You got two PG's in the GLeague who will struggle to get playing time and two project centers in Tacko and Rob. It's time to either get rid of some of these dudes we got now or these picks we have coming up.

* Some teams are tanking.

* Some teams have supposedly finished their tanking, but their young players just aren't good enough to lift their teams to the playoffs.

* Some teams have been hit hard with injuries to key players.

* Some teams have incompetent front offices that continue to make bad decisions that keep them in the lottery for an extended period of time.

There isn't any one specific reason why teams will be in the lottery drawing.

Putting the bottom 16 teams into categories:

Magic aren't tanking but can fall into the other three categories. Dunno where to put SPURS. They could still make the playoffs, btw.
Full-on tanking has been dis-incentivized by the flatter odds.

The Spurs are going to have to overcome a scheduling issue to make the playoffs. They are 10-9 at home and 4-11 on the road. Since they will have four more road games than home games over the rest of the season, it won't be a surprise to me if they are caught and passed by at least one other team.

There are barely ten NBA-quality teams in the league.

Very ugly to watch the games, very sad to see so many unskilled chuckers as starters in the NBA, and so many bad teams are making the lottery spots crowded.

5 losses in a row and Memphis keep the pick, they keep going at their recent .500 rate and pick 14 to Boston in a draft with nobody to be excited about outside the top 3, or top 2, or maybe just a top 1.

You want optimism, with players back, teams like the Pelicans, T-Wolves, Suns can do better.

Don't want optimism, with 20 bad teams in the league Memphis will get too many wins against teams who don't care, and those who want to tank.

They are also confusing, they beat the Clippers and lose to Vlade DIvac and the Kings?

Memphis could lose their next 6 games, but could win 5 of those 6.

By the time they play the Celtics, will have an idea if there is hope for a pick in 2021 or if plans for pick 14 in 2020 need to happen.

Looks like a horrible draft. Just selfish chuckers who bring the terrible high school game to college for one year and then ruin the NBA with it. Point guards who shoot, combo-guards who shoot, Celtics don't need that. They all shoot, but don't make many of the shots. A few undersized power forwards, and Tres Tinkle.

Great to have three first rounders, but better when it happens in a good draft.

Don't have to say it but will, yes it is good to have a lottery pick which cost nothing, but it had the potential to be even better. Luigi did as much for Boston as Green did, Jonas did as well.

If forced to make picks at 12, 25 and 30, here they are, maybe:

Vernon Carey
Killian Tillie
Austin Wiley

What has higher odds, Tatum and/or Brown turning into All-NBA players or Celtics get lucky with and hit on one of these non-lottery picks (Kawhi, Giannis, Manu, Lowry, Gasol, Parker, Butler, Gobert, etc.)?

This **** franchise is cursed in the last 5 years.

We have had now two in their prime all-star level players have career talent ending injuries in Hayward and IT.

And now, we happen to own the pick to two crap teams in the one season they do well with SAC and MEM.

That would tank any other organization 4x over.

Unbelievable **** horrible luck. And they're both in *** draft years too.
