Following, the best Thai I’ve had in MKE was also inside a grocery store (Pacific Asian Grocery on 27th street). There also a fantastic pho place (Viet Pho) next door that sold a bahn mi for like $5 a few years ago. So good.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Talked about this earlier in the thread and it is GREAT. Bhan Mi's on Sat/Sun, but get there earlier in the day to get them.

And the woman who runs the counter there is adorable. Grocery store is Viet Hoa on Monona Drive. The in-house dining experience is short on ambience, so get it to go or call ahead.

Hey Ref, have you been to Monsoon Siam on Atwood? Heard decent things, but I haven't dropped in yet.

Oh yeah, Monsoon Siam is definitely good. But I think it's overpriced, especially for the portion sizes. I've never felt like I've gotten a bad meal there, though.

My cousin lives in Monona, I'll definitely check it out next time I'm there.

Just make sure you get there early. They close at like 7.

Got a text from AT&T saying the unlimited data throttling settlement money will be credited to next month's bill. No $ amount given or anything. If you want details you need to call or e-mail them. Dumb.

Interesting. I don't have them but I wonder what the payout is

They paid $60 million to the FTC to settle the suit, but I didn't see any details as far as how many customers are splitting it and how much per month or year of service they are getting.

I know you usually get the shaft when it comes to class action lawsuits, but I think I've had unlimited data since '08 or '09 and there are no lawyers taking a cut because it was the FTC.

What a fu**ing dipsh**. He's already tanked the business by having the entire staff quit on him. The site has been dead for months now. I'm sure it's damaged traffic to the other sites, too - I can't be the only one that used Deadspin as a jumping off point to visit The Root or Jalopnik or Gizmodo or Kotaku or Jezebel or The Takeout, etc etc.

A competently run business would have long ago fired that herb.

Yeah, the only time I visit the other sites is if it finds a foothold on twitter. Deadspin and Splinter were multi-visits on a daily basis, I'd hit up Lifehacker regularly and if there was a intriguing crosspost that'd bring me over to Jez or the other spots, I usually found at least another piece I'd click. There was <stifles dry heave> corporate synergy. It's one thing to claim philosophical differences and once Spanfeller entered, those weren't going to be bridged, but this is business malpractice at this point. I'm shocked he's talking about a Deadspin relaunch. Dead's dead, baby.

I'm assuming that Spanfeller dude is just a pawn to intentionally bankrupt the company for the private equity bros. Seems to still be following the playbook.

My daughter has a club VB tourney tomorrow morning an hour away in Fond Du Lac that will last all day. I am not looking forward to the weather at all.

I want to be a father. There's just this pull I have towards it.

And then I hear stories about parents waking up early in the morning on a Saturday to drive their kids through a snowstorm to their extracurriculars and I am thankful I'll be warm and cozy in my bed instead.
