Man, idk how Kyrie was before the Nets but he just comes across as humble and genuine. Hard not to like.
Lots of good tidbits in there:
1) He tried coming back earlier and had a setback. This prob happened when the nets were still calling him day to day.
2) The cortisone shots were just to help him heal faster and feel better doing the required.
3) When he comes back he might take awhile to get back to elite. He mentioned he'll have to adjust his finishing around the rim and attack left more than he would usually do.
4) He said he will have to keep up the shoulder maintenance for the rest of the season and maybe his career?! So this shoulder thing can def happen again. Not freaked out about it tho
Side note: Moving to Nets has made him closer to the family and that something he has had to handle with, the good and the bad. Not the first time he has mentioned how important being near family was.
Makes you think about KAT down the line
The guy wanted to be here, be in this area. Add that with the fact that the Nets are a player friendly culture that puts their well being over everything else, it's probably hard not to be happy here. KD hasn't played a game for us yet and he's out there repping the team on social media hard.
