Idk man everyone has spent time off will injury and illness or dnp for backups .....that said grant williams tweeked his shoulder last night and already wearing finger-splint ha, maybe Tatum could usea lil load-management too.

We should hit stride tomorrow nite early on now that kemba is back ...no more slow starts, we had ALL slow starts wo kemba, and kemba's 1st game back was slow start

They've largely had slow starts since Kemba joined the team, though Smart in as his sub isn't anything like an improvement.

Celtics have been outscored in the 1st Q in 15 of their 38 games. Still won the game in 8 of those instances.

Net Rating & Rank by Quarter:
1st - 2.9 (11th)
2nd - 6.8 (7th)
3rd - 13.0 (2nd)
4th - 6.1 (5th)

Last season we had 0.1 net rating in 2nd Qs, 18th in the league. I do think our bench improved in part due to... *takes a bite of some crow*... Kanter and in part due to more staggering of starters' minutes.

Ya slow starts are an issue for us ...wo kemba its FAR worse!
Quarter 1 for KEMBA is usually not his greatest shooting, but his presence and ability to create for others vastly improves the overall 1q output. Hayward IMO needs to do more early on to facilitate scoring/playmaking.

When Kemba does start off hot (which is not very often) we cruise !

These guys are in a somewhat of a tanking mode. We need to blow them out.
Good assessment:

Between running PnRoll w kemba (who is elite there) post-ups and insane rebounding Kanter needs to start ....he is a big time scoring threat and will end slow starts at least. We still need a healthy RWIII. Theis has been outstanding for a 2nd yr euroimport ...williams and theis both NBA newborns w 0 experience

Hopefully 10yr vet Kanter steps up and snatches the reins ..his team D has been servicable...

Do they move Brown to the 4 and put Smart in as the starter tonight then?? What's that do for the bench minutes? Smart was a good injection coming off the bench. Who could fill that role, Romeo?? Might be a stretch...

With Tatum OUT, every player on the team has now missed at least one game this season.

This will only be the 6th missed game of Tatum's career. He still leads his draft class in most games played. He's started in each of his 197 games so far.

I want Gordon to be especially aggressive today w/o JT.
Do not defer to lesser shooters.

Looks like Theis is playing.
I wonder who plays the 4?

Ojeleye is ahead on the Depth Chart.
But, I'd like to see Grant Williams get the Start.

I see a huge Semi game coming. Something like 6 pts/2 rebs/1 steal in 25 minutes.
