i love this routine of calling up the best 905 d league players. It just developes a winning culture thru-out by rewarding hard work and perseverance. These types of player instills passion into the lockeroom whereever they go.

It might actually mean that they will use both Brisett and Watson with the remaining 10-15 days or so of Brisett's 2-way deal, and then now 45 days of Watson's deal for the rest of the season since they play the same position. That way there's no need to waive Miller yet and can save that opportunity later if someone is worth picking up in the buyout market.

Masai Ujiri used the Mind Stone to fuse IBM Watson with one of Tony Stark's Iron Legion bots and the result is.....

Paul.

Sad for Ponds. He looked OK in his 11 minutes of trash time, but his numbers for the 905 don't inspire much hope.

He has the physical tools. I haven't watched him enough to say much more than that. It probably will come down to his basketball IQ.

Watson has great size and length. He looks to have a good handle and shoots the 3 very well, both things we need on the wing. Let's see how he develops and if he sticks.

Because they have 42 year-old Vince Carter taking up a roster spot. (but i guess they have other plans with the freed up spot.)

Same management that traded Luka Doncic for Trae Young.

I don't think he's a defensive stopper but he didn't look like a pylon as well. Their defense sucks, and he often had to defend bigger opponents. If he can be a decent defender like Miller and make his perimeter shots, he's already an upgrade on Miller.

I read an article from when he played for a G league team prior to the 905 and he talked about how he takes pride in defending the opposing teams best player.
I’ve been pushing for him to get the call up over Justin Anderson because he seems like more of a team player that fit the Raptors identity.
Do we call him the Sea Shepherd?

If you ran a quiz on making that association I bet 80 per cent would fail to make the connection... IBM Watson is good though. Just as I liked Barg's Aced Caliper test.

Raptors 905 story about Watson's return to the 905, after his 10 day in Atlanta, and after signing the two-way.

“I feel it’s a system that my game can definitely thrive in,” Watson said of returning to a system he is familiar with. “A great organization all-around, top to bottom. They have a great track record of developing guys and getting the most potential possible out of them. I’m very blessed and fortunate to be in the situation that I’m in.”

Also this:

Watson said the success the Raptors organization has had developing players with 905 sticks out to other players. It isn’t overlooked.

“Player development is a huge thing with this organization,” he said. “It’s something they take pride in. We go in each and every day, and our goal is, it sounds cliche, but it’s to get 1 percent better each day and I feel that’s something they do a great job of accomplishing with guys.”
