Then make it because you're the only one that believes that.
I believe it too. DDV is making himself elite at one thing. Is Brogdon, who I still like, elite at anything?

It's Luka, Shae, and then you're debating Young and Ayton.

Feel like there are a few more dudes who are just as good/better and younger.
Yep. That draft was loaded, I think.

I think Brogdon is elite at calming down an offense under pressure. His steady demeanor does not change much with the game situation.

I'd love to hang on to the Indiana pick and see what Horst and team can do with another first round pick.

Yea there's probably still 7-10 guys that go ahead of Donte, but that says more about the draft class than him. He's been great here.

This discussion was had like 10 pages ago. I think I had him around 6, but yeah, he'd definitely go higher than 17.

It really doesn't matter where he'd go, we got what looks like a potential impact player at 17, I'll take it.

Comparing the two now is silly. Predicting who has the better career when all is said and done? I think it could be Donte.

Looking at the rest of the draft, would we rather have Shamet instead of him? For this year, I say yes. Moving forward, no.

Donte has been substantially better this year than Shamet and we’re completely destroying teams with him on court. It’s a clear no even just this year imo.

Absolutely not. Donte is head and shoulders above Shamet this year.

This. Amongst many advantages to having Giannis, I'd put drafting near the top of the list. Let the other teams gamble on potential, and snatch productivity. IE - Guys like Brogdon, DDV > Wilson, Thon.

I love me some Donte and he's been a great surprise for us this year. Better than Brogdon? Come on now people.

Perhaps he will become a better player, but he isn't there at this moment.

His impact on this team is completely comparable to Brogdon's, some cases better.

In terms of the right now, I'd say it's close, but Brogdon is better when he's actually on the court.

Taking into account availability, upside and contract it's not even close. Donte in a landslide.

Donte could never hit a 3 in his career and be more impactful on Defense alone than Brogdon is.

It is better, Bucks are better with DDV on the court than they ever were with Brogdon. This does not directly correlate to DDV being a better player, but it does mean that DDV is a better fit for this team.
