I've been on this forum a long time arguing against Kobe's haters but seeing the tributes from everyone has been touching. Small gestures mean a lot at a time like this. I'm going to go drive to my parents house when I sober up and just give them a hug and tell them I love them. Kobe lived a legendary life but Gianna was just a child. Ugh...This season means nothing to me now. This is going to hurt for a long long time.

Please please please don’t drive drunk. I know you are in a lot of pain right now, and it’s totally understandable to want to be around loved ones. But please please please be safe.

I feel like I lost someone from my family. Gutted! Strange thing is that I always respected him, but never been a huge fan. Sad, sad day...

Booker was one of Kobe's closest pupils in the game along with Trae, Tatum and a few others.

I know a lot of young players idolized him and patterned their games after him but interesting that Kyrie, Booker, Tatum AND Trae all had a game at the same time today....some of the ones you hear the most about idolizing him and try to use some of his moves.

These games all look clunky, unfocused and low energy. Guys are clearly off.

Good advice. If you're having a drink just use an uber. Things go bad and you're putting the same pain you're experiencing now on your family or others.

That's just the Clippers starting lineup when George is out.
G - James | Rondo
G - Bradley | Caruso
F - Green | Caldwell-Pope
F - Davis | Kuzma | Morris
C - McGee | Howard

I was at this game right after my 26th birthday and this was the only time I EVER got to witness this dude hoop. Being the sixer fan that I am, and that I first got to witness him and AI duke it out nearly 20 years ago, I couldn't stand his ass - because he was that freakin' good. But years later after Kobe has essentially sealed his status as a top 25 player of all time, I couldn't help but be in awe of his overall demeanor, his love/hunger for the game, and that he is a tremendous success story coming from my Philly hometown.

This is truly a sad day in the world for having lost a legend so young - my thoughts and prayers are with the Bryant family & the immediate circles surrounding this terrible tragedy.

Unbelievable thing happened in San Antonio. After double shot-clock violation in Kobe's honor, the ball stuck at the top of the backboard in the next possession.

Was a really quick shot of him, but his head was down and he was visibly shaking from crying so hard. Will post the clip if I find it, but yeah him and Kobe were pretty close as you pointed out before. Tatum idolized him, and Kobe took him under his wing.

Everything about this sucks.

As a Laker and Kobe fan, it takes a lot out of you, like a gut punch. I didn't want to believe it and I still don't.....
