Terrible.

It is more than likely a fake. Many people are posting fake crash clips.

To best of my knowledge, there is not any footage of the actual crash. I hope it stays that way.

Heart broken. My Hero. My Idol. The reason I started to play this game, the reason I fell in love with this game. Growing up wanting to be just like you, to you becoming a mentor, beyond thankful for everything you’ve done for me. “I didn’t have a plan B I put all my eggs in one basket and I knew I was going to make it happen” hearing you say that stuck with me everyday of my life. You inspired me and I am forever grateful more than you know! Love you Bean! Sad, sad, sad day RIP Kobe and Gianna! Praying for the family!

why? if kobe and shaq could make up, then so can others with disagreements they have with family and friends. This is one of the very few positives that can come out of this tragedy.

Reality is yet to kick in, man. This is so horrific. I have never felt this way about a celebrity death, but it feels like we, as Laker nation, as basketball fans around the world, have lost one of us. I'd be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear. The worst part is, he never looked happier a retired man. I doubt there was a better feeling for him showing his baby girls the way. Grief is all I can say, but I hope that soon we'll be able to enjoy and celebrate that he was here, rather than mourning that he is gone. So much more than just someone who happened to be pretty good at putting a ball through a hoop, but just an all-around beautiful, exceptional person and an inspiration. I am glad I got to be a part of your journey. Thank you Kobe, sincerely.

There probably won't be the fog was allegedly that thick. The eye witnesses claiming to hear the helicopter very low to the ground moving slowly couldnt see it, can't imagine anyone managed to have a view of it with a camera or had even a clue where to look in regards to the crash site

The second half of his life was just beginning, the saddest part is that his daughters will not be able to experience all that he had to give.

I’m talking about fake twitter garbage between talking heads. This is trash, that if true could be discussed appropriately in private.

All the immediate life in review pieces are annoying me. All the tributes. We have the rest of our lives to mourn this guy and for those tributes and long pieces. Why do we need them right now? Let the community mourn.

Because we live in an age of, if it’s not done publicly on twitter for everyone to know what’s the point of doing it at all?

I've slept on it and I'm still in pieces. Everywhere I go in L.A. people are in mourning. He meant so much to this city, even people who aren't big Laker fans. I'm wearing my Kobe jersey today, and I haven't worn a jersey since I was a teenager. I still haven't been able to accept it despite the tears I've shed. Just doesn't seem real.

Woke up hoping this was some sad, sick nightmare.

Anyone but Kobe man... why Kobe? There was SO MUCH MORE we were going to get from Kobe. So much more knowledge to come. I am so deeply saddened for his family.

This was God plan for you Kobe. You inspired a GENERATION of GLOBAL basketball FANS to do BETTER to work HARDER to NEVER give up in BALL and in LIFE.

Billy Idol said it best: Only The Good Die Young. While we never get to appreciate the next 50 years of your intellect, passion, inspiration, wisdom and teachings, your death will project you into the GREATEST of GREATS. A God among Kings.

You did it Kobe, you created the greatest Legacy in basketball history. The greatest of inspirational stories that we will be telling our kids and grand-kids and their grand-kids for centuries. Sports is about people, it's about inspiration, it's about hope, it's about teamwork.

Your story is one that will life on forever. Drafted as a 17-year old kid and traded to the greatest franchise in NBA history, you became the greatest player in that franchise's history. You climbed the mountain (3-peat!), fell back down to the deepest of valley's (allegations, infidelity), and climbed back up again (back-to-back!). 5 time CHAMP, 18-time all-star. You showed us that even Heros are mortal and can make mistakes. But it's what you learn from those mistakes and how you react that make up your character. You never gave up, you always out worked everyone else. Relentless determination. You loved your family, and you loved the game of basketball.

Your passing makes us all pause and think, am I wasting my time on trivial things? Am I spending enough time with those who matter the most to me? Am I reaching my full potential? Can I work harder? Can I do more? Can I leave behind a legacy and inspire people change the world?

If you taught us anything Kobe, it's that anything is possible. Do not let anything stand in between you and your dreams.

We love you Kobe. You globalized the game of basketball. You inspired a generation. We will never forget you and we will continue to push the game of basketball forward to reach it's greatest potential and influence, in your honour.

Mamba out, but never forgotten.

RIP Kobe (Aug 23rd, 1978 - Jan 26th, 2020)

Why is he a weasel? He's remembering that life is short and wants to make amends and be at peace.

For some those tributes are how they mourn, either by watching them over and over again or by making them. People deal with things in different ways.

because if he really felt that way he'd send KD a text, not post it on Twitter to make sure everyone sees what he's doing, and he's been a weasel his entire post-playing career, literally drumming up BS nonsense so he can get a seat on ESPN.
