Re: Trade Thread, Part 3: The Fun Continues
I actually like the Theis/Kanter/Timelord rotation. The bigger need is more shooting and scoring as Kanter is literally the only scoring threat off the bench currently.

Re: Trade Thread, Part 3: The Fun Continues
I'll be happy with IT + Bertans.
A PF with long range, and IT as a compulsive scorer from the bench.
Could that be possible? Can we present an attractive offer to the Wizards?

If Tristan was bought out he would run as fast as he could to one of the LA teams.

IT yes
Bertans no
Don't think IT is a great fit for this Celtics team.

I'm fearful that Wanamaker's best game of the year vs Philly will prevent Ainge from making moves to upgrade the bench lol

not if the clippers get a big via trade and then that leaves the lakers who have mcgee davis and howard, id assume tristan wants to get paid next summer

Brian Windhorst believes Boston is in the mix for Capela, per Lowe Post episode, without including our top 5 guys.
Not a lot of Boston noise, per Lowe. More fringe-y guys that could be had with a couple of 2nd rounders.

Not sure what that means. If he went to Boston the Celtics can't pay him next year just like both LA teams. Tristan is a LA person.

it means hes not going to the lakers and getting no minutes there. he would want to go to a place to showcase himself and that has a chance to win. can't earn a payday watching from the bench. he won't get significant minutes on the lakers and i think the clippers are gonna go after a big elsewhere perhaps a baynes

That would be interesting. It would thin the bench a lot to get him.
Houston seems to really want to move Capela and thinks that's their best way forward. If this rumor is true, I guess it's a matter of being a better fit from the Celtics' perspective.

Can't see the Celtics offering more than Kanter/Langford/Poirier and a 1st (not Memphis)

could houston get rid of capela, find a serviceable big and then add igoudala? or would that not allow the to cut salary tax

Wizards keep insisting he is not available. Trying to keep Beal happy.

Lowe doesn't see Boston trading Hayward before the deadline. Windhorst is very confident Cs aren't trading Gordon. They also have no idea what Hayward is gonna do with his player option.

easy, any amount of salary used to match his salary would be better players than him.

Re: Trade Thread, Part 3: The Fun Continues
Three questions on Capela (I haven't seen him play that much):
Doesn't Houston do better when Capela is sitting rather than on the court?
Isn't he a suspect defender vs other centers?
How much better is he than what the Celtics have now?

Re: Trade Thread, Part 3: The Fun Continues
Dunno how to interpret this: Theis is 11th in DRPM among 65 centers. Kanter is 25th. Capela is 36th, just below Tristan Thompson.
