Lakers, Knicks Discussed Kyle Kuzma In Potential Marcus Morris Deal

The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks discussed Kyle Kuzma in a potential deal for Marcus Morris, sources told Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

The Lakers were reportedly willing to offer Kuzma and Danny Green for Morris.

The Knicks then responded with a deal centered around Kuzma, Avery Bradley, DeMarcus Cousins, and at least one second-round pick.

Morris would end up getting traded to the Clippers.

The Knicks took a useless clippers pick rather than Kuzma... Haha the Knicks are so dumb..Clearly Lakers are not giving up Avery.. Danny Green on the other hand has been a disapppintment defensively.. But either way Knicks botched this..

And you believe the spin piece coming out of LA because? The reports were that the Lakers were hesitant to even include Kuzma and was dead set not to also include a VITAL piece like Green all the way leading up to the deadline. Then suddenly, after the cross-hallway rival Clippers landed Morris, it's "oh we was going to give the Knicks Kuzma, Green and more but they're the one's that passed"? Come on. This strikes me as the Lakers trying to damage control and save face with fans (and maybe also GM Lebron). The Knicks may be dumb but they're not that dumb. Fans that know to not believe everything they hear would know that. I mean honestly, IF the Lakers actually offered Kuzma, Green, etc. the Knicks could likely have spun Green to the Clippers for draft and ended up with Kuzma and a pick...instead of just a pick. You think that the Lakers didn't know that? The Knicks weren't interested in Green for themselves. They were looking to spin him to another contending team needing 3 point shooting (like the Clippers who has 3 point shooting as one of their biggest weaknesses) for draft assets.
