Nice to see Booker get named as an all star. Well deserved. Also love how Lillard was telling the media Booker should replace him. Lillard always a real one.

nah. we don't really ask knox to do anything but shoot 3s and play d. it's just he can't do either.

Bullock, Knox, Clips 1st, Hornets 2nd this year.
If it takes more I'd consider it. He's perfect next to RJ and Mitch and I think he's a legit number 2 on a solid team.
I think it might cost more like the 2021 DAL pick. I know he’s not a star but a late first might not cut it for an owner who thought he has Curry potential. I’m sure some of that waned but I would be surprised to see his feelings dropped off to that offer level. Maybe it has and we get lucky![]()

I'll jump in on this with an idea about Rose etc. Pure speculation. Basically fan fiction of what MIGHT be a positive attribute of him coming on board. It presupposes a stable basketball mind in the FO that Rose listens to/partnered with.
Again, speculation.
*Ok - again, let me get the caveat out of the way that Rose probably took the job because he's a powerful rich guy in his industry, with a big ego, getting older, and wants to take a crack at "fix the Knicks" as a legacy thing. Also, being no fool, he might figure "if it doesn't work out, at least I'll take Dolan's money on a 5 year contract for 3 years of work." We have to search for SOME kind of reason a guy would walk away from a very lucrative agency, go through hoops to unwind them, and hoops to rewind them if he wanted to return.
Ok, so in this scenario where Rose actually cares and has good bball people.
Lets look at some player movement over the last 10 years, but really the last 3 years
Lebron
Lebron again
Paul George
AD
Kawhi
There's a decent amount of guys forcing themselves off teams or superfriending etc. Then you have Booker/Towns/DLo talking about it.
So, the league used to be about the Owners and GM's having ALL the power
Then stars started to have their own leverage, but pretty much for themselves, in that contect
Then start, deep into the internet/social media/branding/data science era, start functioning with autonomy, in conjunction with agents, to shape the league. (internet etc is mentioned as the way that players, besides contract income and just sneaker contracts, earn more than ever - more autonomous)
So, MAYBE, there will be a trend where lesser players, still good, will start flexing on teams, and Rose etc may get guys like that, Heild level guys, if you will, towards the Knicks. And a smart GM may be able to some decent roster construction around it.
Kind of a stretch, but maybe things are sort of trending that way/behind the scenes.

And any lineup with Frank as the starter is terrible. He’s a 3rd stringer. No way the Knicks can get Hield either
Randle is the key to all the problems. All our problems start with his style of play.
When Randle was out when his grandmother died the Knicks was getting blown out every night. So he isn’t the problem. Meanwhile Randle has been the key to wins against Dallas, Brooklyn, Miami Heat, etc.
We really shouldn't want to win. We should give permanent roles to players that could potentially learn the game. Randle is only 24, but he won't learn it anymore.

I saw this on reddit.. I wonder if Wiseman will follow Ayton's path or KAT's path.
With Ayton off court, the Suns defensive rating is 111.0, which would be 21st defense in the league, decidedly below average
Ayton on court, Suns DRtg: 107.5, 8th best in the NBA
With Towns off court, the Wolves DRtg is 104.3, which would be the 2nd best in league
With Towns on court, the Wolves DRtg is an astounding 115.4, which would be worst in the NBA
Here's their offensive impacts:
Ayton off court ORtg: 108.4, 20th in the league
Ayton on court ORtg: 111.8, 9th in the league
Towns off court ORtg: 99.5, worst in the league
Towns on court ORtg: 113.9, 2nd in the league

I really wanted to have had a chance to draft either of these two guys in their respective drafts.
Interestingly enough I didn’t expect KAT to have turned out to be an offensive juggernaut while for Ayton while I knew he had to work on some things defensively I didn’t anticipate him improving this fast on this end.
To be honest I want my bigs to be two-way players and thus I would prefer someone like Ayton over KAT despite me being more devastated in 2015 rather in 2018.

I remember a lot of people thought Ayton was hopeless on defense and could never be this good while KAT was supposed to be the 2 way big out of college. Now Ayton is basically what KAT is supposed to be while KAT is what we thought Ayton was gonna be. So weird.
And yeah I agree with you that I would rather have a 2 way big like Ayton. I really hope Wiseman is like Ayton and the Knicks get to draft him.
