I tend to agree to a degree.

The pull to come home is strong when you're away but when you are home it isn't always exactly how you romanticize it.

There will be some regret but there's no guarantee he wins with Toronto again so it's not going to eat away at him.

You should understand that for some of these players making millions and living the life is enough to be happy.

Nah.

Raptors aren't winning anything without him and while Toronto isn't Cleveland it isn't LA either

Without Kawhi, the Raptors are cruising. They just rolled off a 15-game win streak and currently have a better record than the Clippers (though, yes, I know, PG has been hurt and Kawhi takes it easy during the regular season).

I'm sad that Kawhi left Toronto. The team has many up and coming players, likable veterans, and one top 20 player (Siakam) who one day will crack the top 10, and maybe top 5. With Kawhi I believe Toronto would have competed for championships for years to come. As he started to decline, Siakam would have been in his prime. Instead Kawhi went to Toronto and forced them to trade for Paul George. The team mortgaged their future to open up a championship window. It's hard to crack that window, and I think any other team in the same position would do the same thing.

But I think Toronto is deeper, better coached (and I'm a Boston fan and I love Rivers), has a better GM, and that, if not already this year, that Siakam will be better than PG, who has suffered too many injuries. The Clippers championship window is only extends for a few seasons, and as Kawhi starts to realize that, I think he'll reflect on what could have been with Toronto, and regret his move.

Come on dude, we've been throwing out G league lineups for a good portion of the year because of all the injuries. This season hasn't been a cake walk for us. The clippers have lost to some really bad teams like chicago, atlanta, and Minnesota.

I watched that Minny game, it was crazy, they had a record night from 3. I don't know, the East sucks royally from #7 down.

they'll regret not becoming an expansion team in LA before the clippers moved there in 1984. boom, lawyered.

He won't regret. Maybe Toronto would be a better team, but that's not the point. He didn't leave purely because of basketball reasons and because of that he gets more what he wants outside the court in LA I really doubt he will regret. Even if Toronto would win championship and he gets none I see no regret. If Toronto would win next 3-4 championships then maybe he could have some regret, but that ain't happening. I know it's hard to believe that basketball players have life outside the court and sometimes that life will affect their choice's in their basketball life.

Kawhi was close with Kobe....and also shared the same helicopter pilot as he did. After losing those 2 people in his life, I'm sure he was happy came to LA to be closer with his loved ones.

He seems very happy just to be in LA.

But basketball wise, it'll be interesting to see how his time in LA compares to Toronto and San Antonio.

Just be happy for the dude.

He’s won rings at both teams he’s been on.

Ujiri knew the deal with him when he made the trade and it was a stunning success.

He was a free agent and had every right to go home.

Move on.

No one is better than Jerry West.

The Jerry West fellating has got to stop at some point, right?

LA is one of the most boring towns I've ever been to. I dont see the appeal. Toronto is way more dynamic.

LA is a different world when you are part of the 1 percent. Given the amount of wealthy millionaires centered in Los Angeles compared to Toronto, there is literately zero comparison. LA is on its own tier.

I think they probably regret not having any draft picks till 2027.

That and all the assets they traded away to go with them.

Like, OKC is 4 wins behind them. That's crazy.
