While this is weird and pretty cool at the same time, I was wondering did Jack Nicholson or Spike lee get this honor as well? Would be a wtf moment if those TWO didn't get this honor, plus many more as well but those Two stick out most.

This man has grown the game of basketball in the general Toronto area.

The way he supported the team, the players, and pushed the game of basketball within the community from a grassroots perspective is nothing short of amazing for a fan of a team. He helped build basketball courts and provided communities access to Raptors games since the 90s. Do you know why Jurassic Park looks a lot like the makeup of the city? Nav Bhatia is one reason for that.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

Way to go Nav, first Sikh HOFer. Barriers and privilege are meant to be broken! And you can't even dunk!

I heard a story once about how he almost missed a game, started driving in the shoulder on the QEW, got pulled over. The cops asked him why he driving in the shoulder and he said that he was late for Raptors game and had to get there immediately. Once they realized who he was, they escorted him to the game in rush hour traffic. That's the closest he's come to missing a game.

What a load of crap. He's missed a few games it's already been talked about to death. No need to fabricate lies to make him look better.

You've always got to root for the "little guy"! And I don't even own a Hyundai dealership!!! And I'm glad the NBA isn't doing this for their own self-interest!! Go Nav.

Well deserved, as he is getting inducted into the Superfan gallery. Some people need to read the article first instead of just reacting to the headlines.
