Yep... and now the Knicks need to unclog the paint by throwing Randle, Frank and Gibson into exile... just look at the three names I typed... why are they in anyones starting lineup?
Put a shooter at the 2, 3 and 4, Mitch at the 5... and run RJ at the 1. He is no less of a PG than Ja, Dame, Steph, Derrick Rose, Kemba, Russ, etc. There's very few Chris Pauls in this world. The kid has a good head on his shoulders and will figure it out. More importantly, he thrives when he has a physical advantage.. so why not make guards, guard him? It's might just work.
All in all, our current roster makes zero sense and has zero chance of over-performing... this is a big reason why we are near dead-last in team TS%, eFG% and many other offensive categories. We have a completely flawed strategic gameplan that is hurting RJ, DSJs and Knoxs value (although I think Knix is hopeless anyways). We need to spread the defense out (which we can see is not a current priority), add as many 3DC (3, D and create) guys as possible and make all personnel decisions based on RJ and Mitch.
Conversely, if personnel decisions are being made based on fit around Randle (which there's a good amount of evidence that they are)... instead of making personnel decisions based on the fit around RJ, they should be shot.... and RJ should leave as soon as he possibly can.
Yes. We need to unlock the awesomeness that is Dennis Smith jr.
That's what you got out of that? smdh The point is to unlock Barrett
