What did everyone think about the All Star Weekend?
Rising Stars Challenge - Didn't see it
Skills Contest - Didn't have the best guards participating, but still fun with the big guys
3 Point Shooting Contest - Booker almost pulled it out for Lillard!!!
Dunk Contest - Ridiculous!!! From what Common and Candice Parker said, it was supposed to be a tie, but someone messed up. Hmmm, did Dwayne Wade throw the contest so a Miami Heat player would win?
Damian Lillard Performance - I have no say as that is not my type of music. I was surprised so many others performed with him. I thought it kind of took away from him.
All Star Game - Actually a pretty fun and exciting game to watch.
Overall, it was a pretty decent All Star Weekend.

Re: All Star Weekend
Probably would have watched a bit of it if Lillard was playing basketball...as it was, I have zero interest.
I'm glad they seemed to have found a format that creates at least a little bit of excitement during the actual game. That rule of, first to a certain score is interesting!

Re: All Star Weekend
I didn't watch any of it. I would have watched the shooting contest, this is always fun. The rest is terrible. The dunk contest jumped the shark a long time ago. The last one I watched was when Dwight Howard won it off of a missed dunk. When it comes to the NBA, there needs to be an honorable scorekeeper, and the final score has to matter.

Re: All Star Weekend
Rising Stars - Watched highlights, eh
Celebrity - Who cares
Skills - Pretty fun, weak performance from guards but still fun
3 Point Shootout - Very fun, deep shots actually worked
Dame's Performance - mid at best
Dunk Contest - really good, no bad dunks and great competition. DJJ deserved to win bc AG bitched when he didn't get the trophy even when they tied at 100 in the final round
Chaka Khan - lol
ASG - Great, wish you couldn't win on a free throw. Either just give the ball back or rise the score cap

Re: All Star Weekend
IMO this was one of the better AS week ends..
totally enjoyed it,..
I like what the NBA is doing from a marketing perspective and they can build on it
im a football fan, its my fav sport, but it fails miserably with the pro bowl, ditto for Baseball and Hockey..
The NBA has something good and the potential to expand it internationally should be a consideration
its a showcase that connects the players, fans and celebrities to share in their love of basketball..whether you are a novice, retired player
one other nice addition they made to the AS format was the game between "select/ by invitation only 12 to 13 yol"... i dont recall seeing tthat before, if this was the 1st time then it was a great idea,..
continue to grow and move the game forward; Kobe..
