He needs to she'd some weight. Would be playoffs before he'd contribute.

I read the Lakers expected him to miss the whole year. I would add him with a plan to use him next season. I always felt he rushed back too fast last year.

Get him on a diet plan now, then the summer conditioning and then game play during camp.

Most likely situation. You get an in shape Cousins and you've got a baller.

Why should we sign DeMarcus Cousins now? It is better that we wait for the off-season to see if he can play and if he is willing to accept the minimum. If he shows signs of a healthy player, we offer him a second year with a better salary to get his Early Bird Rights. As things stand, Cousins looks more and more like the next Andrew Bynum.

Cousins can play and loved to ball, he just never learned what he needs to do to get in shape. Bynum never loved the game the same way. If Boogie can buy-in to the Heat style then he’ll have a huge impact next to Bam. Lock him up for this season and next, then use the off-season with Bam & Jimmy to get in Heat shape.

If Jimmy can get into his head and get him straight then we get a supercharged Spo-ball 5 to put next to Bam.

To get him into the program. If he shows he is committed to the Heat program then you sign him this summer and your ahead of the game.

Just left the Wade legacy event. That’s what a superstar looks like guys. Wake me up when we draft the next one.

By the way, the entire team was there, but for some reason Jimmy was not. Seemed a lil strange.

Getting boogie Cuz is not what I meant when I said a Whale. Boggie is more of a whale that got harpoon and got away, slowly swimming in the big sea that’s the NBA, waiting for someone to rescue him and ATTEMPT to get him back into shape. But if he comes to us cheap then why not. Maybe he can take Canadian Kelly’s spot next season ?

Gotta take a run at Boogie. Great fit next to Bam and low risk high reward, especially if we can continue to work with him into next season.

Problem is who do the Heat cut/waive? This is why having UD on the roster is frustrating

Sign him in the off-season then? Cousins is a mess right now, overweight and injured. We cannot sign him to anything more than veteran's minimum, so we wouldn't have his full bird rights.

why is anybody talking about Cousins. He clearly is not Heat material. We just rid of Whiteside & Waiters.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Cousins? Are you #()_$)( kidding me? I just don't get this franchise I guess. A few years ago Miami goes 30-11 and instead of just thinking... wow, we're overachieving Miami goes all-in with extending that group and it screws them for a few years. This year Miami once again overachieves in the 1st half of the season, some wins by utilizing the zone more since most teams aren't ready for it and then once again expect this team to maintain overachieving. I really don't get this acceptance of overachieving and not making moves to upgrade the roster and UTILIZE that great 1st half. Other than playing in better weather I don't know why Giannis would want to go to Miami, this FO has really screwed up twice in the last few years by expecting the overachieving to continue(which is why almost everyone except the Miami FO expected this team to come back down to earth).

The FO didn't even bring in a backup defensive big, because of the lack of defensive bigs, if Bam goes out for any length of time this team is going to be bad. Maybe with everyone but Bam healthy, they can stay .500 but for some reason, no defensive big/rim protector was added to the roster. It would be just layup lines and hope Miami out shoots the other team from 3.

Miami got a gift with Butler forcing himself to Miami when they had no cap space and the FO basically said thanks and we'll wait till 2021, it just seems like they're fine wasting the last of Butler's prime.

Well I already feel like Giannis isn't coming here to begin with. That aside, who was the team interested in trading for that wouldn't have affected the cap space for that summer?

I don't think the franchise is settled on this team. They are looking for another star, but one hasn't become available yet to them. I'm bit confused on your frustration, In one breath you're angry that they didn't add a defensive big to help this overachieving team continue success but in another breath you're angry that they are trying to continue running with this overachieving team?

The Heat are trying to sell themselves to another disgruntled star. They tried to add Paul, Westbrook or Holiday. But couldnt get those players' GM to lower their demands. Until that happens, they are observing and evaluating Herro, Nunn and Okpala development to see if it's possible they have star potential soon or to what level of role players they can provide. In the meantime everyone outside of Bam and Jimmy are trade chips for a third go-too player. If a mega star becomes available I wouldn't be surprised if Bam or Butler are not safe, just to prepare yourselves.

Heat need to sign Boogie Cousins ASAP, even an out of shape Cousins put up great numbers playing playing with the Warriors during the 18-19 season in limited minutes, even had some impactful moments in the NBA Finals.

Heat did have interest in him this summer but he ultimately chose the Lakers especially with the AD connection.

Lock him up now, let him continue his rehab and get in shape, and maybe help contribute for the playoffs, but if not he’ll have an entire offseason worth of rehab and dieting, I would extend him for 2 years with a team option so we get his bird rights.

Getting Cousins would finally solve our big man problems, and the compliment to BAM would be incredible, 2 stretch bigs, that can pass, handle the ball, shoot, and play defense?? Cmon guys no brainer. Imagine having 2 Draymond Green’s in the front court, that’s what you get with Boogie and BAM.

Boogie
BAM
Butler
Robinson
Nunn

That’s a dope lineup
