A first round matchup against the Nets and a second round matchup against the Raps is the way it has to be. This just has to happen for all parties involved. I cannot wait for this postseason

I think it's now well established that the Celtics can catch Toronto but they are 5 games behind LA for home court in the finals.
Can they catch them?
I'm not getting ahead of myself, am I?

During that time, Raps have a five-game West trip bookended by games in DEN and UTA. Then another road game in Philly.

I think your schedule is one day off. Everything should be pulled in one day but your overall point is well taken

Haha fans from Asia-Pacific have the game hours earlier than the rest of you do. Don't worry, we won't spoil the results.

Thank you Terry!!!!!

Hornets win puts us a win away from the 2 seed.

Plus, Raptors now go on the West Coast trip, including a brutal next game vs. Denver.

Update:

Thank you Hornets & Scary!!!
Heat won.

Craps 42-17
Celtics 41-17

Heat 37-22
Sixers 37-23

Pacers 35-24

Magic 27-32
Nets 26-32

TIED in L column w Raps!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 L ahead of Heat, 6 L ahead of Sixers & 7 L ahead of the Pacers!
Heat & Sixers battling for the 4 seed!
Magic & Nets battling for the 7 seed & the right to play us in Round 1.

Beat the annoying Rockets tomorrow at home & we will have taken over the 2 seed (ahead 2-1 so far in the season series VS. the Raps - last game in Toronto on 3/20).
Our final 24 games are easier overall.
Will update my big red font paragraph soon.

Parl,
Can you post the March schedule for the Raps right below the March schedule for the Celtics - using the exact same calendar format?

I looked around, previously. They don't post it in the same format.
I would have done it already. Sorry, Ex.

March 2020 Schedule for Celtics AND March & April 2020 Schedule for Raps in the same place. If, or should I say after, we **** up the Rockets tomorrow on 2/29, both teams will have 42-17 records & 23 games left!

Comments:

Celtics:
1. After the Rockets on 2/29, 5 of the next 6 games are VS PO teams. But we are hotter than snot!
2. Then the March schedule most definitely softens during the following 9 games - Raps A on Fri 3/20 is the only really hard game during that span (as well as obviously critically important to lock in the tiebreaker)!
3. CAVEAT: 6 of our 8 final games in April are VS Heat twice, Bucks, Pacers & Magic twice!

Raptors:
1. 5 game road trip to start with - following 2 losses at H - I can see 2-3 losses to the Nuggets, Jazz & ?
2. Between 3/18 & 4/5, 9 out of 10 games are VS very good PO teams - including us, the Bucks twice, the Rockets, the Fakers, the Nuggets, & the Sixers.
3. CAVEAT: Final 6 games for the Raps are cupcake!

Conclusion: DO IT! 2 seed or bust!

Just ignore the dates.

Raptors schedule (6H, 8A; 2 B2Bs) vs. Celtics schedule (7H, 8A; 3 B2Bs)

ImageImage

Tough games for TOR: @DEN, @UTA, @PHI, vs. BOS, vs. DEN, vs. LAL
Tough games for BOS: vs. UTA, vs. OKC, @IND, @MIL, @TOR, vs. POR (if Lillard back)

Rockets game tonight and Raptors game on the 20th are must-wins for us.

Awesome - clearly better than my attempt to compare side by side - except of course for the silly dates.

Scary doing in the Raps at the end last night helps.

Game in Toronto is super-duper must-win after the loss to the Rockets.

Going undefeated in March would be helpful too.

My theory is that Nick Nurse owes us a game or two vs. them for beating Kemba with a stick at the ASG.

We will prevail.

W-L record vs. top 4 teams* from each conference:

Celtics: 8-7, 5 games to play
Bucks: 7-3, 9 games to play
Raptors: 2-9, 8 games to play
Heat: 4-8, 6 games to play

Lakers: 6-7, 6 games to play
Nuggets: 7-6, 6 games to play
Clippers: 9-6, 4 games to play
Rockets: 9-6, 4 games to play

*This assumes the top 4 teams from each conference don't change 'til end of season.

Our toughest upcoming games are the FRONT ends of B2Bs. That's better than having them be the back ends.

If the Celtics beat Toronto, they'll be at 3-1 on the season series. Is that the first tiebreaker?

If the Celtics lose to them and somehow make up 2 games otherwise to tie them on the season, how will tiebreakers work then?

Whoever has the better record in-division wins the tiebreaker. Considering the assumption that they'd win against us in the 4th matchup, they would have 9-4 against the Atlantic Division and we'd have 7-6 with three games each remaining.
