He likes to hang around young women and was very close to Harvey Weinstein. Wouldn't be surprised if he has skeletons in his closet there, especially since his personality closely resembles Trump.

Knicks fans say F Charles Oakley? Lol. This fanbase deserves being terrible. Pathetic.

My guess is 90% of fans support Oakley and Spike. It’s just the other 10% have vocal political or personal feelings about entitled rich people.

Years ago this board was filled with what seemed to be a majority of posters who defended Dolan and really loved his mini-authoritarian dictatorship medieval fiefdom approach. It was like people thought having a rich dad was reason enough to trust that everything would be ok.

Nowadays, public sentiment has never been worse for Dolan. If he fails again with Leon Rose, it’s hard to see how he can show his face in the Garden again.

OR, a person might have seen him at his Car Wash, asked for an autograph and was treated like crap. As a result, he decided from that time on, **** Oak.

Another Anucha would be a major problem in this era. But you’d think somebody would have come out by now.

That was Pat, not Oak.

I got to hang out once in Atlanta getting sh*tface drunk w/Oak. Dude is a major card, not afraid to drink, gamble, or womanize. But he was always cool to me and other fans.

The first time I ever met him was on a hotel elevator in Chicago the night before game 2 of the 1992 playoffs, which was a Sunday matinee. He got on that elevator with not one but two blondes going back to his room around 11pm the night before a 12:30 tip off.

Dolan also makes everyone sign non disclosure agreements, like Donald.

This whole thing is just ridiculous on both sides.

I have a big problem with Spike Lee going on that garbage program on ESPN that's already very anti-Knick and unload in the manner he did. If you have a problem with the Garden, bring it up directly with the head members of the organization.

What exactly did Spike gain to benefit from going on First Take yesterday? He looks like a parasite for airing dirty laundy like that; if he feels like he was mistreated because security told him he needed to be escorted through a different set of doors, bring it up quietly to Dolan or someone on his staff. There was no reason for him to bring this thing to the forefront of the sports pages. It was supposed to be Leon Roses' day and Spike decided to go on First Take and play the role of a multimillionaire martyr. Sorry if I don't shed any tears for someone like him.

Dolan could've easily diffused this situation. Just swallow your pride, explain to Spike the new rules being promulgated in the arena, apologize again for any misunderstanding, and leave it at that. He definitely didn't need to respond yesterday in the manner that he did through the Knicks' PR; him staying silent would've been a much more professional route to take. But if I was in his shoes, I'd be angry also. If he really did diffuse the situation with Spike considering (as the photo potentially shows,) than it makes no reason for Lee to go on First Take and just trash the organization.

But than again this is the same opportunistic parasite that was making Mars Blackmon commercials with the #1 enemy of the Knicks in the early 90's Mr Michael Jordan. So I never really looked at Spike as some defacto representative of this team. He's just some guy that's been rich for over half his life and wants everyone- including ESPN- to know how inconvenient this isolated episode was for him. Poor Spike.

Not comparable... Anucha was all Isiah. He's the one who looked awful. Dolan was just the guy on the hook to pay the bill. If you want to look at a terrible culture within an organization, look at Dallas. How has that affected Mark Cuban? It hasn't and it appears to be a topic that's off limits to the media world....

The problem is that Dolan did what you are saying he should have done. Spike still went on ESPN. Talk about entitlement... the core of the issue is Spike's use of the employee entrance. WHY IS HE ENTITLED TO USE THAT ENTRANCE? There could be a million reasons why SECURITY doesn't want that. So, if one guy says "no", with or without Dolan's knowledge, Dolan is dragged through the mud? It's a huge organization. Imagine being held to that standard where any employee error is on you. That's not how it works in real life but the media is on a different level of attack this year.

Listen, I'm not defending Dolan but Spikes actions were a publicity stunt. The media is trying way too hard. F*** Oak too.

What are we paying Steve Stoute for?

I'm waiting for the sexual harassment case that takes Dolan down. Where's that damn "Me Too" movement when you actually need it

Man spends $10 million and this is how you treat him? I don't care what anyone says; there are levels, always levels. Spike isn't some regular customer. He absolutely should've expected better treatment regardless of whether he had received the new entrance instructions or not. As for the racism, no one ever believes racism is there. It must not exist! There go those black people complaining again! Lastly, Dolan can't get out of his own way. We played a GREAT game, went toe to toe with two former MVPs, and the youngsters balled, but today this is the story.... So Knicks....

The fact that there've already been 2 first take debacles since he and rose were brought in is like high comedy.

From his wikipedia page:

Stoute recently joined the New York Knicks as a Brand Consultant. Stoute plans on bringing "that thing[10]" to the Knicks, and inadvertently made it known that the Knicks plan on hiring a new head coach. This was not the type of branding New York Knicks fans were hoping for.

The premise of this whole situation really is stupid.

A celebrity playing the victim role because he can't go through an entrance anymore. He was offered another entrance for VIPs only and still wanted to play the victim.

Spike must be a very paranoid man when he's in the Garden.

Spike invested damn near millions of dollars on the Knicks and this is how he gets treated? Ya'll are foul for defending Dolan in this situation. Disagree with Spike all you want but you can't deny that man has been loyal to the team through thick & thin.
