This is great news, if only for the fact that maybe the Dubs will actually have a chance vs. Toronto now.

At this point better keep an eye on Miami too.

Every time we lose, I've programmed my mind to believe that seeding doesn't matter. We will beat anyone that stands in our way. Just get healthy and stay healthy ffs.

So Brown will miss the Jazz, Thunder, and Pacers games and might come back next Thursday at the Bucks.

Bye bye 2 seed!

UPDATE

We win VS awful Cavs w a very very undermanned team...but we won!

Heat squeezed out a W VS Magic - after a very bad losing stretch, these pain-in-the-ass mother **** have won 4 in a row w **** Robinson hitting 9 3s.

Craps 43-18
Celtics 42-19

Heat 40-22

Sixers 37-25
Pacers 37-25

1 L behind Raps!

Only 3 L ahead of Heat (be careful)!

6 L ahead of Sixers & Pacers!

4 tough games ahead - then 8 out of 9 much easier games during March - while Raps run into a **** buzz saw!

Do it!
The Nets game never happened, right?

I don’t really see where the Raptors run into a buzz saw and the Celtics don’t in the remaining schedule until end of the year...

Both schedules look equally as tough, especially considering injuries both teams are sustaining.

Raptors

@Utah
@ Philly (no Embiid and Simmons)
Boston
Denver
LAL
@MIL
MIL
@HOU
@MIA

Celtics (no Brown for next 4 games)

Utah
OKC
@IND
@MIL
@TOR

Factoring in April for the Celtics, I agree.
I was wrong.
Equally difficult.
Small ad our way =
3 out of 4 of our most challenging games in April down the stretch are H.
3 out of 4 of the Raps’ most challenging games in April down the stretch are A.
Small ad Raps’ way =
3/20 game at their place!

Injuries:

Celtics
No JB (hammy) for at least a week including 4 out of our 9 most challenging games.*
Kemba minutes restriction (knee rehab).
GH hopefully back very quickly (knee contusion).

*Because JT has been Super Nova for 5 weeks, every team is going to double him up much more - especially absent JB. How Brad compensates for this & how well JT passes out of double teams will determine how well we finish the RS & how deep we go into the POs.

Raps
Ibaka (knee)
Van Vleet (shoulder)
Gasol (hammy)

Do you know the severity of the 3 Raps’ injuries?

Yeah Celtics have a bit easier April but this upcoming 4 game stretch will be big.

As for Toronto, Ibaka, Van Vleet, and Gasol are all listed as questionable for the next game so Raptors will be full strength very soon.

Just beat Toronto and then play 1 game better than them in the rest of the games (or just even if you hold the tiebreaker). Should be very doable. The Heat are not that good, Sixers are falling apart, Indy is nothing to be scared of. Get homecourt over everyone but the Bucks and hope you figure out a way to stop Giannis when the time comes. The path to the Finals is not more difficult than it is for anyone else.

Finish 2nd and hope the 76ers finish 4th or 5th and let them and the Bucks meet in the 2nd round

At this point, with the injury situation, I'm more concerned about keeping the 3rd seed. Our next few games are tough and Miami's schedule is very favourable.

Well hoping for a Steph Curry miracle tonight sure didn't happen.

Not over yet folks. We are down but not out. Roll up your sleeves, forget previous games and let's go to work.

And regardless of seeding, this will be Jayson Tatum this postseason to opponents:

I can't. Still pissed we already lost 19 games in what was supposed to be an immaculate season. UGH. UGGGHHH.

Toronto, Boston, Miami, Philly, and Indy are all listed at the moment as having last ten games records of 6-4.

Plus ca change, plus ca meme chose.

If we beat them, we'll definitely hold the tiebreaker (head-to-head).

If they beat us, they'll likely hold the tiebreaker (I forget who figured that out a few days ago when I asked; the obvious guess is Zoya, but I don't recall for sure).

See the bottom: http://www.espn.com/nba/playoffs/matchups
Two-Team Tiebreaker:
1. Better record in head-to-head games
2. Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
3. Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
4. Higher winning percentage in conference games

TOR in division: 8-4
BOS in division: 7-6

So, yeah, pretty much gotta beat 'em to hold the tiebreaker.

Three teams or more is listed there as well. Conference record matters there (assuming it's the Heat) and we'd have a better shot, but TOR (30-10) is up on us (26-10) in wins, and if we lost to them, that doesn't help either. Heat are 27-9 in conference as of now.

Imo 2nd or 3rd for 2nd round versus Toronto does not matter. We can beat them without homecourt.

I'm more worried about first round, because boy if Philly finished 6th, I'm not confident we can beat them if they are healthy.

That's why imo we should still go after 2nd seat, but looks like (with Brad today "load managing" Tatum minutes) we will rest players and protect 3rd seat.
