Win or lose I hope to see a big game from our future low cost young guys. Trent, Ant, Weyan, Nassir, are the guys who may have to drastically out perform their contracts for us to really turn a corner next year.

That’d be great, I don’t think Gabriel is anywhere close but who knows. The other 3 if they keep improving could be really helpful next year.

Some people think Hezonja might be playable too once he gets to have his normal role consistently. Most of the season he had to play more as a big due to the injuries. we saw some improvement from him when lillard was out and he had something closer to his normal role. But to me he looks really bad at times and it’s not encouraging.

Yeah. We done. That recent easy stretch was make-or-break, and we broke. Best to enjoy the Carmelo Anthony farewell tour, limit Dame, nurse Nurk and Collins, get the best pick we can, and hope Olshey doesn't botch the off-season.

Although I get the whole Twin Towers can't work narrative is probably real... Hassan is fantastic at chasing down rebounds, but couldn't box out my wheelchair bound one armed grandpa (no joke he's my hero)and Nurkic has shown the ability to box out about 3/5ths of the opposing lineup at a time. I am genuinely curious if they can turn around the worst rebounding Blazers squad I can remember.

Blazers have been embarrassing but the other teams competing for 8th aren’t doing much better. If Blazers win this game and the next one they could be in it. Especially with nurkic and possibly collins back soon. But yeah they have looked bad and if they keep that up a good draft pick would be nice

I wrote this on the CV OT thread but I'm wondering if we'll see games played without the fans in attendance.

Could tonight's game be the last game with the fans in attendance since Seattle has announced a ban of
events with more than 250 people in attendance? We're sitting in between Washington and California and
are virtually certain to have a lot of people who would test positive if tested.

3.5 games behind MEM, and we have two games against them left (one this Thursday)
If we can win those two, we'll only be 1.5 games behind, and our remaining schedule is much easier (MEM has the 3rd hardest remaining schedule, we have 22nd)

It's a long shot, but it's doable.

Some of the other teams might be hard to beat out too. Sacramento is winning a lot. But Nurkic is planning to be back after next game and that is likely going to make it easier to win games. If Portland beats Memphis in the next game it could get interesting.

It will be a tight race, the only team that has a reasonable lead in games from the 8th seed and lower is Memphis but they have the hardest schedule by far. Pels, Kings, and Blazers are all tied with an identical record even though Kings+Pels have played 2 less games.
