That was brave of him, I'd find it hard to focus under the same circumstances.

Prayers up to his mother and their family.

Science obviously has its success, but relying on it isn't any more promising than relying on your driving skills to avoid accidents when the other guy is out there too.
Bottom line is unexplained miracles are common among Christians hence the faith and prayers.
You can't explain it.
FYI it wasn't a misdiagnosed condition. She had been to several specialists that all had the same conclusions.
She had cancer and then bam she didn't.
If you wish to believe that she wasn't cured miraculously that's your loss for not accepting what you can't explain.

There's no loss. Science doesn't demand acceptance let alone explanations, that's a hangup of people.

What science does demand is that a theory be testable.

Not sure what you've been lead to think or who gave you some bs about having to do anything. My take is very simple I've witnessed and experienced actual unexplained results after prayer and that is more than enough reason to trust in God.
nothing is the same from the moment I sought repentance in Christ. I don't need your approval either.
it has nothing to do with religion or meeting expectations of other people.
The church has done a poor job communicating the true gospel in recent years and tbh half the people in the church are mindless idiots who give the religion a bad name.
If you want proof than you will spend your life without it... But when you need proof different result.
I've prayed for people and they still died ,because the never truly lived.

Dude. You said it was my loss. Trust me. It's no loss.

Im in the strange category of believing in science and God. Like i think the big bang happened cause the universe is still growing but i also think there had to of been a powerful energy that created it (God).

Im not really religious but to say its a bad thing is very close minded. I still like to go to church to be around good Morales and good hearted people when i can which is a rarity amongst society for the most part.

But even Einsteins theory of relativity just looks like a blue print to me and not a accident.

You can find patterns even in accidents if you look hard enough ... some are simple others terribly complex.

Insurance companies thrive on it ...

And we saw what happened aboard the cruise ship. Other states are asking New Yorkers to quarantine for 14d. People have to read between the lines there maybe a time in the near future where you won't be able to leave even if you want to.

Sounds like you'll take the first explanation for something you can't explain. Who determines what's a miracle?

A completely religious or spiritual person might see the Northern Lights as some type of "miracle" or supernatural intervention.

A scientist might see it (and be able to replicate in a lab) as a consequence of certain particles interacting with magnetic fields.

Not saying one is wrong and one is right. But just because one explanation arrives before the other doesn't make it more correct.

Not having an explanation doesn't mean one has to "accept" what they can't explain with another view's explanation.

Before scientists discovered what they now know about the Northern Lights, doesn't mean prior years of Northern Lights were therefore due to the spiritual person's explanation. There was a possible scientific explanation for them all along.

Inside the human being exists a spirit a life a unrelenting force for good that I couldn't understand if I didn't acknowledge the kingdom of heaven is within you. If at some point in your life you witnessed healings occur at rapid rates like I have, and every single one was after a person after being asked to go to church or being prompted from within OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL CHOSE to come to the alter if grace
for a chance just 1 chance and found redemption... You would probably realize the explanation was thar only one you'll ever need.
Tbh I don't think Christ heals those who don't choose to seek him out, otherwise it wouldn't explain the countless numbers of stubborn athiest's who get prayed for and rarely find the light while they are trying to control everything around them amidst the chaos within.

Whoever thinks they know whether prayers work or they don't is stupid. We have no idea what is what and what isn't. If you can't take your head out of your ass at this point then enjoy your ego but you're only fooling yourself.

Sorry for the OP
But men made miracles like god to me are stupid in many ways. Not getting into it as this thread is about the virus.
But what man does not understand needs to be vindicated by some superior creature.
Guess what that creature is nature. Mater. And nothing else.
But go on believing(that we are in a petri glas just doing stuff). if it helps

To me god does more harm than good the way people put it. Just look at anything mankind did because god justified. Or the US of A. Plain stupid if you ask me.

"Miracles" are neither replicable nor exclusive ... but presumably the placebo effect is real or test trials wouldn't continue to use them.

Corinthians
18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
20Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

We all just need to block Stillwater right now and move on. I’ve read some ridiculous opinions on this board but this thread has absolutely reached a new level.

If any of you believe that oil and prayer cured stage 4 cancer in one day, you need help.

Arguing with Stillwater is a nice distraction, but he's made it very clear in other posts he's in isolation not out in the world spreading Covid - quite the opposite; so if he or anyone else wants to share their prayers while also acting responsibly? More power to them.

It's a good time for everyone to be more understanding and patient.

Some people feel this is just a virus and they'll get over it if they catch it and move on; and KAT's story and others are making it clear that Covid is nothing to be trifled with. That age is not the only factor, and that there can be long-term damage even after recovery.

Nope. Politicians have failed our world. Scientists have been warning us about Covid-19 for a long, long time now. Politicians in the West refused to listen and, well, we all know the results. Some politicians in the East did listen (and also had their own experience with previous viruses which is probably why they listened this time) and as you can see they did a much better job at stopping this than we did.

Prayer and positive thinking while you’re isolating is absolutely fine. I have no problem with that. I personally don’t think it does anything when done in a vague, general way but if others do, more power to them.

Claiming that laying hands, anointing oils, and prayer cured stage 4 cancer overnight is dangerous as hell and complete BS.
