Westbrook probably wasn’t held back by KD in a traditional sense, but no way he goes crazy and averages a triple double for 3 straight years and wins MVP with him there.

David Lee stepped out of the shadow of Curry/Z-Bo to a degree. He was always a double-double guy, but went from 10 and 10, to 20 and 12.

Millsap stepped out of the shadow of Boozer, taking advantage of Boozer being out with an injury. His level of play basically made Boozer tradeable.

He did look good in March-April last year, but I agree. I thought his ceiling was quality backup, not bad for a 2nd round pick, but this season indicates he could be a quality starter.

Look at the question. It is not asking which duo of stars. This is one under the shadow of a star ( public not realizing until one of them left )

Well, not really. The first couple of season Nash spent in Dallas, he was nothing extra. Erick Strickland started more at the point in 99-00 than him. He definitely learned a lot from Jason, but he wasn't "coming out of his shadow".

Correct. Nash was in the shadow not just of Kidd but Kevin Johnson as well. Dirk was clearly the superior player in their time in Dallas but he definitely wasn't overshadowing Nash. They were a very symbiotic duo who both benefited from playing with each other and managed to both reach new heights apart. Truly remarkable.

But for Nash it's definitely Phoenix not Dallas.
