strictly a 3pt shooter currently?

There’s like a three game highlight video on YouTube from this year (too lazy to pull it up). It’s basically him shooting threes. At least he seems to do this well.

He's got some other things in his bag of tricks. I think he's gonna be more than just a spot-up shooter:

Any reason why he's still overseas, versus being in GBoro? If we are getting a look at our youth movement, wouldn't this be the time to bring him around and let him cut his teeth.

Does he have a contract with his Euro team that we don't want to buy out?

Basically from my understanding he just makes more money over there. I don't blame him.

Read an interview with Kulboka. Arnas is saying he has gained 6 kg (13 pounds) of muscle mass since the start of the season. He also said his current weight is at 104 kg (229 pounds). He plans to remain at this weight for the foreseeable future. Says he's in constant communication with the Hornets athletic coach who sends him training programs/plans.

More money, and gets to play a lot of minutes against the strongest competition outside of the NBA. His team (which isn't in the Euroleague) has beaten all of the top Spanish teams that participate in the Euroleague. They're playing a very fast paced style, with lots of three-point shooting. Arnas is playing the power-forward, says he's getting more experience defending against bigger guys in the paint.

Sounds like he might fit well with miles and/or Washington

We have a dearth of PFs on this roster and wonder the vision Kupchak/JB have for them. It's looking like Miles might be a better fit at the 4, but PJ is more of a natural 4. I'm assuming McDaniels is more of a bench/role player, as is Kulboka, but either can probably also play SF. Seems like a logjam of guys and one will be moved..... but who?

I think Washington can eventually play an Al Horford-like 5 when he puts on more muscle and gains more experience. He has post moves and 3 point range.
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

I view Miles as a 3-4, PJ as a 4-5, and no idea about Arnoldas. He sounds a lot more like a pure perimeter 4.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I like that he no longer looks like a twiggy teen, could play NBA at that weight, no?
Hornets sure could use a SF knockdown shooter

Saw somewhere that he signed with another team. Doubt he's in Charlotte next season

News about this signing was confirmed in a tweet by Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports. Smith then responded to a reply asking about Kulboka’s future with the Hornets by saying it’s “pretty unclear if he ever will”. He added that Kulboka seems “happy in Europe”.

Yup, it seemed like he shot left handed for a bit too.

Has anyone heard anything further about Kulboka and him coming over to the US for 2021?

I know he was a stash draft pick and a late 2nd rounder at that, but I feel like this would be a great year to bring him over. It also might be hard with the lack of roster spots, but even a year in GBoro with a few games in Charlotte would be helpful for the 22 year old.

Also, do we envision him as a lanky 3 or more of a 4?

I dont see him taking a huge paycut to play in G league when he's probably making 500k a year plus where he's at

Arnoldas just went off in the Spanish ACB.

23 points in 27 minutes (7-of-9 from three).

Return to Charlotte Hornets
