Stumbled upon some Donte praise today.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

Holding out hope that Donte comes back with a full offseason worth of ball handling improvement.

I don't think it's his ball-handling. His body motions are herky-jerky more than fluid, and he doesn't have good setups to put off defenders. This extends to his 3-pt shooting decisions. Seldom fakes. Just throws one up quick. Fast but not deceptive.

He obviously won’t hit 66% from 3 all year but his shot looks better and his shot confidence is vastly highly. He is just catching and firing. No hesitation, no thinking. The game is slowing down for him offensively.

Also good to see they are funneling his shots to be above the break. I remember someone posting his percentages last year and his is better above the break than the corner. It also allows him better opportunities to attack close outs.

How hilarious would it be if the Bucks win a title because DDV becomes (maybe already is?) better than BB?

Yeah, I'm half joking about the 66%, but he deserved the bump. I just like the kid.

Also, I remember one reporter had picked him for MIP before season start.

If he can be our version of Spurs Danny Green (less shooting but more juice off the dribble) we're gonna wipe a lot of teams off the court this year. If the shot is real he's the ideal 4th guy and our starting lineup might be the best in the NBA

He won't have the counting numbers for MIP.

I'm expecting a leap from Donte because he seems like the type of guy that thrives on confidence and rhythm and I think him starting and getting regular minutes is going to be good for him. Love the guy.

DDV has been great, but it's bigger than that. He clearly was the best player available at his draft position. Both rookies this year have a chance to be steals. DJW is playing really, really well, making a wide arrange of winning plays.

It appears that Horst might be able to draft? Nothing is more important to an organization.

We could see the fall of the Warriors yesterday. They have no depth. Recent 1st round pick Damion Jones is out of the league. Last years 1st, Jordan Poole, was the worst rotation player in the league last year.

We've traded most of our picks, but by possibly hitting on the few we have, we might have an impact player, plus depth, while using little of the salary cap.

Donte and Wilson having great/good years would be a giant F*CK YOU to LeBitch, the Hawks and Dr. Evil Adam Silver.

It would legitimately alter the trajectory of this team in a major way. It's the type of player development that has allowed teams like Boston, San Antonio, and Toronto to be consistently competitive for so long. More age appropriate guys to bring through the ranks and fall in line with Giannis's own age range.

Who needs Kukoc, Doncic or Bogdanovic?

They still fu--ed up. Maybe Giannis didn't try to trade them in particular. But they're less likely to feel any loyalty, no matter what transpires prior to their RFA hit.

Yep, it's pretty easy to predict his improvement. Just look at what he did in college from year two to three with higher usage and what he did from year one to two in the NBA with higher usage.

Its ok, I thought Parker was gonna be better than Giannis and that Thon was going to be a stud. Honestly part of the reason why I became a Bucks fan that summer.
still learning the game
