Might as well be an article saying the Bulls are interested in buying the Heat franchise and making them the Bulls.

The importance of this rumor is that both are free agents after the season and this possibly making the Heat pay more to retain them or have to go in another direction for their positions in the rotation.

They will have to figure out a way to pay more than the Heat can offer considering the Heat have Bird Rights and the Nba is going to have a lower salary cap.

With Miami putting a premium on the summer of 2021, it'll be difficult to outbid teams over a number of years.

If season doesn't resume, that Iguodala trade might become a loss for us.Winslow's biggest issue this season was health and he might become a much better player playing for the Grizzlies. Offensively, he was terrible but atleast he played good defense.

I mean that wasn't all the trade was though, we also got rid of JJ and Dion next year. If we assume that the Heat had made up their minds and Justise wasn't in the future plans then it doesn't really matter. If we didn't trade him this year it would be next year and if not next year then we'd simply decline his team option.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Getting rid of Dion & JJ doesn't matter cuz we are paying Iggy and the next FA class sucks.
The trade was dumb without Galinari. Justise is still an asset we could have attached to other assets to get a real all star. I still don't understand why they didn't go ahead if the extra cost was removing protections.
I suspect and Lebatard has said as much, they traded Winslow because he wouldn't come earlier than they wanted. Our medical staff hasn't had the greatest track record lately, so deferring to the player when it's something like a back injury is reasonable.
The Spurs showed with Kawhi, and not trading him to Lakers that being stubborn and not strategic when it comes to players can hurt you long term. It's Winslow so it might not be factor long term especially if they get someone in 2021.But I think they wasted an asset when they didn't need to.

Nice gesture by Yimmy, but his primary focus should probably be on fixing his own shot lol

Waiters had a recent interview and said about his tenure in Miami that even before the season started “we knew it was over”. Ridiculous. He gave up on the team, the team did not give up on him. I guarantee if he tried as hard as he thinks he tried he would still be on the team.

I'm impartial cause I like the yella' fella', but I agree with Mion. When we were going out of our way not to play him and taking every op to dunce him and JJ in preseason you just knew it was over.

Tbh, much rather have kept him and JJ as future expiree's than to trade them and Winslow especially. Especially not for Eagle Dollar, whom I suspect we're actually hoping/hoped to get quality production from. Tis' what tis' tho, I can't speak on whatever happened behind the scenes, they have carte blanche to do how they feel

Rather focus on next season or whichever season it might be possible for return

To those that follow social media -

are there any news on how our guys are training? can they get shots up? do they have access to legit home gyms? Can they go to the AAA to train? does some of them have rims at their homes?
