What about the anti-malarial drug that Trump promoted for weeks, at least, as a “game-changer” miracle cure for covid-19 — you know, the one that has been found to cause such serious heart problems that the FDA had to warn against it. Was that a media plot also?
Actually yes it was - I think he said a couple things about promising results (which there were) and how if someone was already really sick w/ the virus they should try it - and if course the media blew it out of proportion for weeks like he has forcing every person in America to take the drug w/o an prescription.
People need an Rx to take a drug - it was a complete non-issue. The drug is already approved for treating other conditions and has been used for years. Not sure what the big deal was other than to undermine and manufacture unnecessary outrage.
It's been used for years for malaria, period.
With how little people know about what covid-19 does to the body using caution was the most prudent thing, which is why all the experts said it was stupid thing to do. Now we have new data showing that the virus can potentially cause strokes. One of the side effects of hydroxycholorquine is irregular heartbeat, you take a drug that causes irregular heartbeat in some patients and add it to a virus that can potentially cause strokes, what is the outcome? Do you think it's just coincidence that he stopped pushing the drug so hard in the recent days? Especially after reports that the drug was causing higher percentage of deaths in trials
Also used as an immunosuppressive drug for auto-immune disease with cardiac problems infrequent in that application.

Actually, I live outside the US and for the most part, most people outside the US do not know anything about the Republicans and the Democrats (no one really cares to know the difference either). However, most people do think that Trump is a laughing stock. Now, as a Trump supporter, this should not be any factor whatsoever, but at least you should get the facts straight.

Trump is a laughing stock and constantly has the mainstream media working against him yet he's going to get re-elected for 4 more years.....how does that work. If anything America is a laughing stock for putting Joe Biden up against Trump...that's the best they can do? 300 million people and the best they can do is Joe Biden

I agree with your deleted post, and mentioned Bloomberg because he was a candidate, who was taken down in a televised debate (not his strong point obviously but probably not a refection of his general competence) by Elizabeth Warren who was out of the race not long after, eventually leaving them with Biden as their candidate.

Seems as though there will be no virus task force briefings this weekend. The designated interviewer for the weekend appears to be Dr Birx. She did an interview yesterday and two of them today. Here's her from last night. Still waiting on transcripts/full videos from her interviews today.
Key takeaway I had from the interview (portion starts at 0:20) is that while she feels that New Hospitalizations/ICU usage/Fatalities will be down significantly by Memorial Day (near end of May), she thinks (new) cases will not necessarily fall too much because of expanded testing identifying more asymptomatic people.

De Blasio presser data and comparisons with other time periods (NYC improving)
New hospitalizations ------> 144...............................was 463 on April 12
ICU usage ------------------> 763...............................was 857 on April 12
% positive tests -----------> 29%...............................was 42% on April 18
Lot of progress there. Hopefully NYC can continue that trend.
Just a note -- the "new hospitalization" number seems to get raised over time as more NYC data comes in (in the days that follow). So the final number may not be "144". De Blasio just reads whatever the number was in the initial figures. Maybe the number actually ends up being 400 or something. Not sure. Still, having the "initial" number go down is a good sign, and it matches up with the general trend of new hospitalizations going down. Graph can be seen here, in the middle of the page (default graph is cases; click on hospitalizations to see that graph):

Meet the Press really surprised me today in the way they attacked Dr. Birx after her interview. I think it is really sad when the scientists get attacked because they aren't perceived to be either too inflammatory towards Trump, or not inflammatory enough.

I just got done reading the transcript of Birx on CNN today. Have not seen the Meet The Press one yet. Interesting. Going to try to find that interview/transcript now.
Here's the transcript of Birx on CNN:
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/2004/26/sotu.01.html
She's the second person interviewed, after Pelosi. Maybe like a third of the way down her portion starts.
Good discussion by her of antibodies and the virus. Very detailed.
One thing I noticed about Birx from the FOX interview, and in general, is she's pretty unflappable. The FOX guy tried to bait her on China and she wasn't going for it. She seems very unfazed by doing media interviews. I like that.

I'm starting to like her more, she is well-spoken and diplomatic at the same time. I totally agree with her take, if you read between the lines she basically said in a very diplomatic way that:
- China has been lying their asses off from the start
- Trump got overly excited about the presentation and was simply musing out loud, there was no harm intended.
- The media is dishonest and misleading, especially with their headlines. Most people only read the headlines or the first paragraph which translates to Trump suggesting for people to drink bleach and disinfectant as a cure to the virus.

Agreed. I like her, she's a real pro. You can tell she's been doing media interviews (as she says in this interview) for a long, long time. Nothing rattles her. I don't think I've ever seen her at a loss for words or 'shaken up' by anything anyone asks her. And she knows her stuff cold.
She's a very competent person.

Birx on Meet The Press. Interview starts at like 5:50 or so:
I like what she said about opening states up bit by bit. For example, here's a map of PA (where I live) broken up by regions:

PA is set to try to re-open, reportedly portions of the upper left and upper middle parts of the map [I live in that zone], on May 8. That might work, but you would not want to try to re-open Philly at the same time, I don't think.
Here is a map of which regions are most hit by the virus in PA. Basically, it's southeast, east and southwest:

Yeah, Birx is really good at what she does. She also has no intention of getting political in her answers. It is refreshing to see. I think almost all reasonable people can agree that we are lucky to have Birx and Fauci on our side in this fight.

Yeah Philly and Pittsburgh will probably be last. I’m in one of the purple parts of the South West. You got to worry a little about people from the still closed areas driving to an open area to get services, etc. Hopefully people won’t do that.

At least Fox had the guts to take action on one of their reporters for having a strong opinion, they didn't really need to. The other networks not only tolerate blatant bias and hatred against the President, they actually encourage it.
The supposed and short-lived virus hoax as opposed to the impeachment hoax and Russian collusion narrative which had been going on for 3 years? I don't really watch Hannity though as I find his tone annoying and a bit over the top. I prefer Tucker Carlson who is more balanced, he was the one that pushed the seriousness of the virus onto Trump.
Republicans tune into Fox because that is their only source of trustworthy news aside from some independent channels on YouTube which are being supressed.
so when Obama was president Fox News did not tolerate bias against him? you think irrational bias against Trump is worse than Obama?
And why do studies show Fox News viewers to be worse informed than any other major media consumers? is it because of their commitement to fair and balanced reporting?
The impeachmenet ended with a trial where Republicans refused to call in witnesses....Meanwhile Benghazi lasted just as long and a republican law maker straight up admitted on camera the whole point of those proceedings where to make Hilary look bad
Yes, I do think that the bias against Trump is way worse than it was against Obama. Do you remember the Obama White House briefings? The media gave him a pass on almost everything, one journalist spoke out of line once and they all cheered on Obama as the journalist was ushered out of the room. Today, they're like a pack of hyenas showing zero respect to the POTUS, barraging him with negative questions trying to trap him into gotcha moment.
What studies? The ones from 2012 or 2015? Please..... the media landscape has changed so much since 2016, do you think those so called studies have any relevance today? Why don't they do a new study to see what political leanings the MSM sways in 2020? Let's study the leanings of Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN. Of course they would not do that.
If you're still putting any stock or value into the failed impeachment proceedings then I don't know what to tell you. Just wait for the Durham report if it ever comes out to see where the real corruption lies all along.
Anyway, I won't engage further on this topic, I only wanted to set some things straight wrt the MSM. If you're going to call Fox news propaganda news, what would you call the rest? Straight and unbiased news? C'mon...
So we have old studies suggesting Fox News voters are misinformed, now we have new studies suggesting there misinformed on COVID, what more do you want lol. why arent republican think tanks putting out studies provign how biased or misinformed liberal MSM viewers are? MSM obviously has its bias, Fox News is just the worst.
Also would you like to link an article or video about your reported incident of Obama kicking out a reporter?
