NBA Preparing For Possibility Of No Fans At Games Through 20-21, 40 Percent Drop In Revenue

Adam Silver prepared players for the potential of playing games without fans in attendance through next season, which would cost the league a projected 40 percent of its revenue.

Silver spent an hour on a conference call with the National Basketball Players Association on Friday.

Silver also said that if they resume the 19-20 season, it makes the most sense to do so at one or two sites including Orlando and Las Vegas.

I don't see how they have have fans until there is a vaccine. May be 2022 will be wtihout fans, too.

Surprised if players on a non playoff teams agree to this early return and even if they do once multiple players start to quarantine the league will have to cease all games and cancel the season.
Its unfortunate they are pushing this in the name of optimism to appease those not wanting a lost season or lost money at the risk of loss of life.
NBA losing my respect on some level as this is just too soon.
While its no different than most businesses allowed to return to work now that the word essential has been thrown out, it is far from reasonable to think anyone who is responsible for more people than themself would agree the timelines laid out by this foolish President are something the NBA or anyone else should mimic.
I give it 2 weeks of playing max before season cancelled

We will hopefully have a vaccine by summer next year. Assuming NBA continues to start its season at the end of October next year, then we should be able to have fans back at games by then.

From your lips to God’s ears. But I think that’s a very optimistic schedule for a virus vaccine. I think very late 2021 to fall of 2022 is more realistic.

It takes 10-15 years to develop and test a quality vaccine. So you can only imagine what crap they can make in 2 years. Also, a vaccine isnt 100% protection
