Jackson crushed it in the G league but his NBA numbers looked pretty much the same aside from taking more 3's
I'd rather see what they've got in Zhaire than give minutes to that dude

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
Character-wise, he's more of a work in progress as opposed to a guy who all the sudden "gets it" now, so we'd have to commit to putting extra measures in place to ensure he stays on the right path. This organization may look at that as being too much maintenance.
Jackson could yield huge return for his next team, though. Plug and play all-NBA defender with passing and creating skills. There's still a path to true two-way superstardom for him. It would just require A TON of luck regarding his personal growth.

His team option was for close to $9M. I imagine if they want him back, they could do so for considerably less.

In hindsight, yet another reason I wish we kept Jimmy Butler. In the least, Butler would command Jackson's respect and keep him in check. If we're lucky, he'd even take him under his wing and expedite his growth.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
Talking about Memphis. Couldn't we offload Horfords contract by them?
Horford+ Korkmaz (and probably 2 2nd round picks or something) for Deng, Brandon Clarke en Tyus Jones (all back ups in Memphis)
Deng is C behind Embiid, not super, but can shoot 3 ball.
Brandon Clarke has really potential in my eyes, 3 point succesrating is good, (although not shot that many), could replace harris if we flip him somewhere (is probably better defender already). Doesnt get real chance behind J. jackson in Memphis. And next 3 years cheap contract.
Jones as back up PG.
Harris + Z. Smith for C. Paul.
2020-2021
C. Paul/Milton/Jones
Simmons/Thybulle/Burks (?)/pick
Jrich/Robinson 3 (?)/Pick or FA vet min or MLE
Clarke/Scott/ Pick or MLE
EMbiid/Deng/Pelle or pick

It may not turn out well, but if the market is set low enough (which I'd expect it will be) then you mitigate any real risk.Kobblehead wrote:Character-wise, he's more of a work in progress as opposed to a guy who all the sudden "gets it" now, so we'd have to commit to putting extra measures in place to ensure he stays on the right path. The idea of having one or both of Thybulle and Jackson paired with Simmons defensively on the perimeter at all times is too intriguing to not at least try and experiment with.
That said, I know in my heart this organization will probably cower at the idea of bringing in Josh given his character issues.

Yeah, the Colengelo group is basically still running the show here. And they were reportedly very down on Jackson back in 2017 and the people he hung around with. I'd love for it to happen, but I think it unlikely given the people we have in charge.

How much do you guys like Josh Richardson? Is he capable of playing some point and handle the ball?

I don't think he was effective in that role with the Sixers personnel
Willing defender, plays hard, seems like a decent dude...was in and out of the lineup with hamstring issues

Nice. Don’t know much about him. Some Warrior friends were throwing out our FRP for him.

The less offensive energy Richardson expends, the better his defense is. Use him sparingly on the ball. I'll take that 1st rounder for him, for sure.

Let's just go all former Sixers.
Sign Dario for the tax payer MLE
Sign Nerlens for the BAE
Trade Josh, Horford, OKC 1st, '22 Sixers 1st for Jrue and JJ
Jrue Holiday / Shake Milton
Matise Thybulle / JJ Redick
Tobias Harris / Furkan Korkmaz
Ben Simmons / Dario Saric
Joel Embiid / Nerlens Noel

Gotta bring back MCW.
Check his current Magic run. He's played pretty well as of late.
Still can't shoot, but his defense has been elite. Like all-NBA first team level elite. And he is hitting his free throws.

He can come too for the minimum to be our Shaun Livingston.

In this fantasy scenario, can we package Tobias and a couple draft picks to get Butler and Iguodala?

Until then, I guess just keep trying to break through the wall with Simmons/Embiid and better defensive players on the floor at all times (Thybulle/Covington) types.
Missing out on Shai really sucks. He would have sealed a championship within the next three years.
We could potentially take on Conley in a Mitchell trade.
Harris + Richardson + Smith + OKC 1st + 2022 PHI 1st for Mitchell + Conley
Simmons(20)/Conley(28)
Mitchell(33)/Milton(15)
Thybulle(28)/Korkmaz(20)
MLE(24)/Simmons(14)/Horford(10)
Embiid(30)/Horford(18)
Utah looks pretty good, too. They would probably need to address the PG position with a FRP/FA.
Clarkson/Mudiay
Richardson/Ingles
O'Neale/Bogdonavic
Harris/Bogdonavic
Gobert/Bradley
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

I don't see any reason for the Jazz to do that.

Yea it's totally unlikely, just a salary-matching scenario. Who knows if DMitch requests a trade though. I do know Utah was interested in Tobias last summer.

Sure, but they were interested in him as a free agent acquisition to be their 3rd guy with Mitchell/Gobert, not to be their main guy (and they arguably ended up signing a better player in Bogdanovic for considerably less).
I think Harris for Conley is a relatively even deal. Richardson and some picks for Mitchell doesn't feel anywhere near close.
