Seems like a stretch 4 who handles the ball occasionally is his role. My gut says his ceiling is a 2nd/3rd option type guy.

He needs to appreciate being Blakes understudy before he is gone. Soak up all the knowledge he can.

Eventually I see him becoming a more athletic Big Dog Glen Robinson...who would've played the 4 in today's NBA.

Blake plays a style at power forward that isn't viable in the NBA anymore. But for his unending weakness as a paint defender, he'd now be a center.

...have you watched Blake in a Pistons uniform? He's a point forward who can shoot 3's...one million percent viable in today's NBA...and how would having him guard Centers make sense if he is a weak paint defender??

Luckily, todays NBA is position-less...so throw Sekou into the fire at either forward spot and let him learn from his mistakes.

Do you mean the guy who operated the offense at a snail's pace thanks to his reliance upon post offense? With the exception of Draymond, who has always been in an odd class of his own, the league's premiere point forwards operate on the drive. Griffin makes his plays from the post or the low block, and takes his sweet time in the process. Slower pace equals less shot attempts. That's why it doesn't work well. It isn't a good offense.

Blake is undoubtedly an effective player in his own right when healthy. But absolute he must be played around, yet cannot be played around in an effective fashion. Having him on the floor comes with a cost.

That's exactly the problem. He is not in the least bit switchable on defense, nor can he play at either forward spot like the vast majority of forwards today. But he cannot play up to center either, because he's even worse at defending there.

Guys of his size and slow footspeed have almost without exception been kicked up to center. He can't do that. That's a weakness. He's locked into a position at which he is not ideal.

SF for now and as he fills out, probably spend more time at PF a few years down road.
