Would also love an additional mid-late 1st rounder with which we can draft Tyrell Terry.

High IQ guard that is a potentially elite shooter (off dribble and spotting up).
We have zero of those.

Thanks for the awesome videos. Do you plan to do one for Haliburton?

Thanks for watching them! I’ll for sure be doing one for Hali. Either him or Vassell next.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Thread: Bulls pick #7 (probably)
I really buy Terry's shooting, he's certainly a stud in that regard, but I think he'll really struggle defensively, he's probably going to struggle significantly at the rim, and he's a good but not stand-out good passer.
I'm not saying anyone's comparing him to Trae, but part of the reason Trae's so successful is he can finish well at the rim and gets to the FT line at will, not to mention is one of the best passers in the game right now. If you take those elements away, is he dynamic enough offensively to warrant running so much of an offense through, and if the answer to that is no, is the offensive value enough to offset the physical/defensive shortcomings? That's the fine line for small PG's, imo.
Fwiw I have Terry around 20 or so, I do like him, just food for thought.

I like Abdoulaye N'Doye. Not sure he'd get drafted, but a 6'7 long armed PG? I like that clay.

Would he be similar to Garland from last years draft as a prospect?

It's still too high IMO. Same for Okongwu, even though I like him way more than Wiseman.
I'm more surprised to see Edwards at 7.
I just saw an article on Bleacher Report that 20 of 35 execs questioned project him as the #1 pick.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Thread: Bulls pick #7 (probably)
This is going to be one of the hardest drafts to predict since the season was cut short. We should also expect there to be more busts than usual since so many players have lost crucial development time.
I was feeling this way even before the pandemic, but this may be a draft you trade out of or trade down in. The scouting is going to be incomplete and unreliable here. One side benefit may be that there may be more gems than usual in the late first round-early second round range.

This draft won’t happen until the leaves turn in the fall the way this thing is going.

I think this draft will benefit the teams who excel at scouting through the season and don’t rely heavily on combine and individual workouts. Jmo.

Yahoo sports with a new mock out- they have Edwards one, Toppin two, Avedji three. We take Aaron Nesmith at 7.

I'd actually be fine with that. He's a very intelligent and driven guy with a critical elite skill and underrated athleticism. Done.

Nesmith at 7 would be pretty bad imo.

I like Nesmith a lot. But he'd be a massive reach at 7, definitely not interested that high. Fringe lottery for me.

I think players rise up. He shot freaking 50% from three in a tough league on several attempts, high iq, solid d, and above average athleticism. I know peeps think he is a reach, but if he was on a Duke, etc... he would be a top 5 pick.
