I would like to bring to the floor the notion of creating a “salty” and a “sweet” bracket that narrows down to one true king.

I concur. Crown a champ of salty, a champ of sweet, and see which comes out victorious.

Pretentious hipster comment alert: we did this exact exercise in my office last summer.

The debates were spirited.

Same. My boredom dictates that I treat this like an assembly of lawmakers in my responses for my own personal amusement. Might start calling for MickeyD to do minutes.

Trail Mix better make the tournament. I like Wasabi peas as a 15 seed.

My only objection to a sweets region is that it there are so many different kinds of sweets. Ice Cream/Frozen Custard. Cookies. Cakes. Candy. Pies. Brownies. Filo Dough based sweets. All sorts of cultural sweets that our family enjoys. Etc etc.

Can't a dip stand on it's own? Kaukauna Port Wine cheese spread **** whether it's crackers or pretzels. Also what about tandems? Chips and salsa, chips and guac, cheese and crackers, etc. I'd hesitate to call this a true snack off if we're disqualifying a bunch of heavyweights right off the bat.

BTW, Gardetto's Snack Mix took a big dive when they got rid of the sesame seed breadsticks in there. Shame on them.

Fritos, you philistines.

Chocolate covered pretzels and Trader Joe's peanut butter filled salted pretzel nuggets. Really, TJ's got a whole arsenal of pretzel varieties that could wipe this whole damn bracket.

Literally any brand of honey-roasted peanuts.

The lime Tostitos are fire.

Scoop some cream cheese with those babies and youve got a truly elite snack.

There's a quote from the Birdman, Chris Anderson, describing an injury that "hurt like a son of a mother bean frito pie." Unfortunately, I can't find it on Mark Zuckerburg's internet.

Frito pie is delicious. Alas, it is not a snack.

MOTION STANDS.

Moreover, we will have a SWEET BRACKET, a SALTY BRACKET, a SPICY BRACKET, and a WILDCARD BRACKET.
