Congrats to Mecca for anther trip to the finals. Def not easy making it to the finals twice.

Should be a great series.

What you’ve done in Dallas since the inception of this BAF has been fun to watch. You’re one of the best this game has to offer. I feel you had the best team still overall in this competition after the Jonas/DGreen moves. Good luck in the offseason.

Thanks man. Much respect. You were right there too and always put together great teams. Im sure the bulls will be back strong next season. Always fun to plan out some moves and see what everyone else does.

You deserved it a lot this year, bro.
Brilliant moves to build the depth you needed entering the season.

Also, congratulations for making it again to the WCF, Deeez!
You have a superteam in Dallas to contend for years to come.
Next year you'll come back stronger, no doubt about it.

Thanks Braz. I saw your prediction too. Glad we were able to fulfill it. Dallas (Undefeated through their first two series) is no joke man. They def made us earn it!

Thanks my fellow vet. I was almost sure you’d be right there, but I know you’ll be back. I saw your post: “to BE the best, you gotta BEAT the best” I’m glad we were able to accomplish that goal. One more step though. Gonna enjoy this tonight, but then it’s all business as we prepare for game 1 on Tuesday night on our home court.

Congrats to NE and the Ws. A new power emerges from the west. Funny to watch the difference between ECF and WCF opponents. Like the difference between a boxing match and broken bottle bar fight

You two are my bar for next year.

I have so much respect for your team. You don’t understand how much time and effort I put in behind the scenes into strategizing a way to compete on your level. I could barely sleep last night lol. I literally stayed up for hours going through so many different rotations, and defensive schemes. I studied your team like I was preparing for a final exam. To some BAF is just a game, but it’s something that I’m extremely honored to be a part of. Three years of waiting seemed like an eternity, but thank you for making us earn the right to play on the NBA finals stage through 7 nerve wrecking games! Thank you for showing all of us what it means to be a champion. Not just through winning games, but through your character.

Thanks man. Much respect back all around. Starting Lou and your defense was a great call. I countered with some other moves, but not sure what even worked or not as it went back and forth. It def pays off and makes a difference when you can come up with some strategic moves in a 7 game series though. Your team is just tough and a reflection of the coach/gm/owner. Keep up the good work and best of luck man.

we have another great finals matchup.

GS has the size to matchup with Embiid. And lets see if GS depth proves more powerful than Brooklyn's star power.

also congrats to Deez and Swiss for building great teams. If CHI gets a center its probaly them in the finals. And Deez has built a sustainable power house that just lost in game 7 on the road...can't be mad at that.

Also congratulations to Deez for making a third straight WCF. Many GMs would coast after experiencing as much success as you have, but the moves for Val and Green shows you’re a GM on a different type of level.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Congratulations to both Mecca (Brooklyn Nets) and NewEra (Golden State Warriors) for making it to the BaF (Season 3) Finals! Brooklyn making it to the Finals in back to back seasons while Golden State is making their first ever Finals appearance. The Finals will begin on Tuesday, either way we will crown a new champion in the next couple of weeks. Good luck to both teams!

As we take a breath before our championship series starts, we need to start thinking about turning the page to season 4. First off, I need to get commitments from all who want back in for next season. Please quote and respond with a yes/no or an in/out for next season.

Secondly, our offseason will be different this year then in years past. First off, our offseason will most likely be a much longer one then normal, and it normally seems really long. But considering the NBA will probably not begin their 2020-21 season before Christmas, I'm going to guess that our season four will probably not begin before next January-February. This will present a huge challenge for us in terms of keeping 30 GMs interest level high. For that reason, we will more than likely postpone or drag out a few aspects of our offseason.

I believe that our draft should still happen just before the actual NBA draft and considering we don't know when that will be will present a challenge. As soon as the NBA announces their draft date, we will announce ours. But teams should plan on it beginning the week before the actual draft.

Free Agency will also present its own challenge. There is a good chance that the NBA free agency doesn't begin until September/October. That will make for a long period of inactivity for BaF.

I have begun to put together the ratings for free agency. Once again, for anyone new to our league, franchises are rated on four metrics for free agency:

1. Winning organization- based on a three year cumulative
2. Future of the organization
3. Star player
4. Player Happiness

I have the rating for #1 completed and am now working on #2. The "future of organization" is based on draft capital and average age of each teams top six salaried players. I have worked out the average age part and now need to complete the draft part. Please check the announcement on page 52 of this thread for this years draft order. I will give until Tuesday for any disputes to be brought to my attention. After that, that draft order will be final.

There has already been one GM bring a rule change proposal to me which will be posted for discussion after the Finals is complete. If there are any other questions or issues moving forward with our offseason, please let me know.

Another idea could be sticking to our regular BAF schedule and stretching FA over the summer? I've never participated in the draft, is there a problem if we do the draft a couple weeks before the NBA draft?

Spurs are 100% in.

Even though the draft and FA might have to play out...once the season offically ends will we officially roll over the league new year. In terms of being able to make trades with contracts updated?

I think allowing trades would be able to keep the activity up until the draft/FA dates are set.

We always do the BAT draft before the real NBA draft...the only difference is we can't do it too early until we know what players have declared early for the draft and what players will go back to college. There still is a bit uncertainty there and we will need to at least hold out until the NBA date of early entries are official.

Houston-
Memphis-
New Orleans-
San Antonio-

I had a suggestion that we could do the top 10 of the draft since all of the players projected to go top 10 have declared and hired agents, so they can’t back out. But I understand if you guys want to wait to do all of the draft at once
