I am more interested in building upon the team development we already have. I want to keep Whiteside, Ariza, and Melo. I am only interested in changes that are necessary or no-brainer improvements. Roster churn is counter productive.

How interesting it would be if the league opened a second trade deadline prior to the resumption
of the games. A team like Portland might trade Whiteside knowing Nurk is finally ready to play this
season.

Trade deadline and playoff roster dates passed before season was suspended. This would make no sense.

That would be unusual but at this point anything is possible.

It's also important to note that we're well into the luxury tax and if we were able to move Whiteside it becomes much easier to take back an amount that gets us under or closer to the tax threshold.

On the other hand I love our depth if we have a backups consisting of Simons, GT, Little, Melo and Whiteside. I wonder it we might seee a more defensively aggressive HW if he knows he isn't being counted on to give us more than 30 minutes, probably less.

It makes as much sense as 22 teams vying for 16 spots in this unusual season. The NBA is headed for uncharted
waters for they are projecting the restarted season to end on October 12 with free agency and the draft afterwards.
The entire process is uncharted for they are arguing over how to create a home court advantage for its not entirely
clear if any playoff games will be played in the home arenas with or without the fans.

The season was suspended with 20 teams vying for 16 seeds. It will resume with 22 teams vying for 16 seeds. And, ultimately everything is decided by basketball on a court. I don't see a controversy or uncharted waters. Despite a rocky road, 19-20 season is as legitimate as any other.

We are in uncharted waters with games resuming with no fans in the stands and the teams all together on
a campus in one location and we don’t even know if the local fans will be able to see the games on TV since
not everyone has CSN. The players will be living in hotels that have been empty since the virus shut down
the country and it could be a mess if superstar players come down with the virus and have to quarantine
for 14 days.

Sounds like uncharted bath water. I feel safe I will not drown in 6 inches of water.
