First off Cole was out due to a torn Meniscus and came back while Melo whimpered off because of a sprain. Melo really showed he wanted to help his team.

Oh please, they were terrible while Lamelo was still there. I'm not talking about a sub .500 record by a couple games. 5-23!

ok 5-23 yet they were 4-9 in the 13 games he played in

When he went out they beat Yale (they're supposed to) and than went on a 5 game losing streak, won two and than went on a 7 game losing streak. Yet they had a winning record before he went down.

man, it's really occurring to me how long we are gonna argue this stuff over and over. it's ridiculous. what's funny is, because of the enormous time between when these kids last played and when they actually get drafted, some of them are gonna take a leap and only the people who watch them workout will know. nba teams might not even be able to get them in a room for all we know.

Yea, i just can't see him being a full time player on a good team. Can probably roll him out there on a bad team and he would put up numbers.

He's very top heavy. He has very small legs for a guy his size which makes him more kinda choppy for a very good leaper. Amare had a much stronger base coming out with more nimbleness.

Don't get me wrong Obi is a great leaper and a strong vertical athlete but he doesn't move around on the court like Amare did or even a John Collins.

i believe there will be some kind of workouts if the draft isn't going to happen until Oct there should be plenty of time assuming there is a crazy wave 2 of COVID-19. If they are going to allow a restart of the season they will have to allow some of these teams to evaluate prospects.

Maybe they do a similar thing in Sept or something where they have a big combine like the NFL...test all the prospects coming into the bubble for a weekend of work and all the high ranking officials from the team and let them evaluate.

I guess worse case they can video conference in workouts...

Yea, I don't see the Amare comparisons. Obi can jump, but doesnt have close to the same power/fluidity that Amare had. Prime Amare was pretty special and rare.

i can't see them having kids fly to all different cities and working out individually. it's gonna be different somehow. a lot of agents would be against the combine thing. pre pandemic they wouldn't let them work out for some teams or against other players.
