On a 1 year deal, sure.

However, Rich Paul is his agent so I’d say the odds are pretty slim.

Cuban won't touch a Rich Paul client.

I don't think he's that good of a fit either, unless his 3 ball is for real and continues to improve.

No, similar player like WCS barely gets off the bench despite injuried Powell.

if KP on offense is going to be 4., it seems a good fit to put an elite rebounder in 5, in defense (Favors I think he fits a little better than TT) he can change with KP and defend all 4, I also think that he can shoot a little

I'd like to think Rich Paul will try to fleece Cuban for $100M 4 year deal. You think that's a good idea? If that tiny skillset is what they're after then just draft Isaiah Stewart and you'll get the same thing. Without Rich Paul holding you hostage requesting a trade halfway through that contract. It's just not worth the headache of dealing with a Rich Paul client.

Yeah, the Mavs prolly bow out once they hear multi-year deal. They're gonna keep the powder dry for 2021.

He'd fit but the goal is to win a championship so is he that piece that makes us the best in the West? I don't believe he does.

We would expect him to rebound and score from inside/midrange. I would want more of a shot blocker at what he's going to cost (roughly 20m per season).

Cavaliers beat writer Chris Fedor said on the Wine and Gold Talk podcast that Tristan Thompson is intrigued with the idea of finishing his career in Cleveland.

Despite the painful season the Cavaliers just had, Thompson was a pro throughout and was invaluable to their young locker room. The Cavaliers did shop his expiring contract at the deadline before changing course and adding Andre Drummond in a shock move, so they will likely end up having to choose between the two. “There’s also a sense that the Cavs recognize the value that Tristan Thompson brings,” Fedor said. “And Tristan being one of the greatest Cavaliers of all-time and eventually having his jersey hung and continuing to climb the ranks of the all-time Cavs is something that’s meaningful to him.”

Yeah, I don't see any reason for the Mavs to sign TT for what he will demand.
I see some mock drafts have us taking Stewart but honestly I think that would be a wasted pick. Guys like that are a dime a dozen in the modern NBA and if we can keep WCS for next to nothing then we'll be fine at center (KP/WCS/Boban/Powell). I don't see the Mavs adding a non-stretch PF to this team.

I still think if we could move up in the draft to get Vassell and then sign Marcus Morris we'd be a complete team.
Not sure we could keep THJ and sign Morris though, not sure about our cap situation.

Luka/Brunson/JJB
THJ/Curry/Wright
DFS/Vassell/Jackson
Morris/Maxi/Powell
KP/WCS/Boban
