I know it's just G-League but his highlights are insane. He'll be a great change of pace PG next year.

Red Claws players have won 3 of the last 6 ROYs. Ainge has drafted 2 of the last 4 ROYs. Abdel Nader was the last one.

So of the 18 winners of this award, 1 has so far had a significant NBA career? (Robert Covington)

He's in some good company. Most are still playing in the NBA.

2018-19 Angel Delgado
2017-18 Antonio Blakeney
2016-17 Abdel Nader
2015-16 Quinn Cook

There's some Isiah Thomas in his game (I think of Thomas as the original drive-and-dish guy, and as a maker of gritty layups more than of outside shots).

Quinn Cook has done pretty well.
Tim Frazier is doing OK, too.

Define significant. Will Bynum, Lou Amundson, Devin Brown, Alonzo Gee, and Tim Frazier have had several seasons as 9th to 12th man on NBA teams. Each has logged at least 4,800 NBA minutes. Quinn Cook played two seasons as the backup PG of the Warriors, even playing in each of the last two NBA Finals. Nader's minutes have gone up since he was traded to OKC.

He's just six inches away from being indispensable.

That being said, this is great :)

I mean, it's "just the G League" but if you're going to send a guy to the G League you at least want him to tear things up.

Nice job and congratulations, Mr. Waters!

Give Curm the credit for seeing it in this kid first. He was all over it from day one. That being said, Waters is a baller with an NBA future without question IMO. Better than Wanamaker right now and absolutely deserving of a roster spot on the main club next year

Thanks for the credit. I'll take credit for Tatum, too. I said from day one that he was the best player in that draft.

Yep. 2-for-2. Tatum struggled for a bit when Toxic-Man was here. But he was always, at least, a Starter.
Waters has shown very early on, that he was better than Wanamaker. Now with a G-League season under his belt, he's ready to come up to the Big Club.
