(idea... work on being a defensive stopper)

Agreed. I appreciate DJJ and his growth over the past couple years. He started out as a guy with tools and became a solid versatile defensive contributor and reliable off-ball player. His cutting ability was a plus when on the court, especially given his vertical spacing.

The issues with DJJ are he hasn't shown any real promise in becoming competent at 3-point shooting and he still doesn't seem to have any reliable ballhandling ability. He's fun because he can jump out the gym and is a dunk champ.

But, IMO KZ Okpala will be ready to offer what DJJ did as soon as next season. KZ is longer and similarly athletic (doesn't have as freaky of a vert, but who does). KZ has all the tools to develop into a high-level versatile defender. As long as he can be coached on his cutting game, he should be ready to offer what DJJ does plus the upside of competent shooting and ballhandling.

I think their may be a chance we see Okpala this summer in the playoffs.

One guy I'd keep an eye on is Otto Porter Jr. He's fallen off a cliff after getting a max deal so I doubt any team would be willing to risk the same mistake again, but he could be a nice value signing on a short-term deal in 2021 if he's looking for a chance to re-prove himself for a bigger payday down the road. In WAS he developed into a very efficient 3/D combo forward who fits in perfectly offball next to higher usage players while being a plus defender

Not to sound like a broken record, but we could theoretically sign both Gobert + OPJ without having to surrender any foundational assets. The rotation possibilities with a Bam/Gobert/DRob/OPJ + Iggy/Crowder? frontcourt would be amazing, so many options there

I'm not at all opposed to Gobert as a fallback option in 2021. Defense would be epic. My concern would offensive spacing.

I understand the advanced metrics with Gobert on offense with Utah, but I imagine that's largely a result of floor spacing around him.

I'm concerned with him operating in the paint and it potentially hindering Bam's efficacy from operating around the elbow.

Those are legit concerns. I think for me it would come down to what happens next season; if Jimmy is able to rediscover his range and Bam is able to develop his to some reasonable degree, then imo that would alleviate spacing concerns with Gobert

so many players seem to be testing positive. hell some of us might even be positive. You would have thought they would test players regularly since this started.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

This is an amazing opportunity for Udonis to announce that he's gonna sit out to give us a chance to pick someone up

Crazy Idea, but how out of shape is Bosh? No Airplane travel for the playoffs might give em a chance..... One can only dream.

Nunn - Dragic
Drob - Herro - crowder
Jimmy - Iggy - KZ
Bosh - DJJ - Oly
Bam - Leonard - Silva

**been so long I forgot we had crowder XD**

Why would the heat be interested in Crabbe? Might as well keep Crowder.

I'm talking about players available for the resumed season. Pickings are pretty slim out there

Look for Gabe Vincent & Kyle Alexander to play if other players test positive. Vincent hasn't played well for Miami but he has been great in the G-League. He just turned 24. In about 32 minutes per game, over 23 points a game, shooting 3's at over 40% and 90% from the stripe.
