So are we not planning for a 2021 season? I mean September seems far for this. I thought next season was a December start date?

Cannot wait to play Lavine and White 48 minutes to stomp these teams.

And this would be the reason why Jimbo has not been fired yet.

The funny sht is by AK not firing Boylen, hes going to 100% coach the second bubble.
Which is why i said the Bulls need to have a new coach in situations like this. So unprofessional.

Its kind of irrelevant because its in a dead season. I dont mind it at all because the team that shows up in the bubble wont be the team in 2021 anyway.

And as I recall no coaches have been fired or hired during Covid. So its still not unusual as well.

The thing is, Id rather have the guys play like 10-15 games just to have organized basketball

They're talking about a 20-21 season starting on Christmas. Sept will probably still be the finals or just after the finals.

Yes, not firing someone is completely unprofessional. The professional thing to do is fire people.

You may not like Boylen and may want him gone immediately. That has nothing to do with professionalism.

boy, if players on teams that actually have something to play for are uncomfortable with returning, how must the crap teams feel about having to quarantine in chicago just to play garbage competition?
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

Exactly. Why would players agree to this. I see no way any FA would put their next contract at risk.

IMO just let the teams scrimmage themselves and do a training camp.

I also think we will see at least 20 players leave the bubble in Orlando before they are supposed to.

Discaimer: not advocating for keeping him, still want boylen gone as soon as possible.

I don’t think it’s all that bad if karnisovas keeps boylen coaching for the bubble. He would get to see boylen’s coaching up close sooner which might speed up karnisovas replacing him. It’s a better alternative than giving boylen the benefit of the doubt and letting him coach next season just so karnisovas can see up close his incompetency.

I don’t know how the lottery positions would fill out with this sort of tournament, but at worst we get the eighth pick in the draft instead of the seven which, in what i have heard that this is a weak draft, is a fairly negligible difference to me.

I would say for most teams and players having some games means nothing. For teams like the Bulls with new management they get to see their roster in person and maybe decide what they like and don't like, who really needs to ship out. Just as a fan I think almost all of us have an idea who they should replace.

To me I don't know how you tell if White and Lavine are a good pairing unless you have the three other guys they'll start with out there to judge the unit. Change one of those three and maybe change the dynamic of the lineup. The same goes for the bench. But if it starts some phone conversations about trades then fine.

Don’t watch Chicago as the spot for obvious reasons. Another opportunity for the virus to spread.

Are they getting financial compensation? No one is going to do this for the love of the game.

Boylen himself is the symbol of unprofessionalism. His records are terrible. His communication skills with players is terrible.

Even the New York media mocked him. No one respects him as a NBA head coach which means keeping him also implies unprofessionalism.

It is surprising to see that even after all of messes he made this season Boylen still has his fan boys.

Why is this being considered?

Why would players even agree to this?

Who came up with this stupid idea in the 1st place?
