One of my favorite slept on players in the NBA is Wendell Carter Jr. of the bulls. Onyeka Ongunwu seems similar, would y'all agree? If so would it be worth trading two firsts this year and another next year in order to get him for the Celtics?

Just dropped my Isaac Okoro breakdown on my YouTube. Man I wish this dude had a jumper lol. Love his intangibles and defense.

Does Vernon Carey have a place in the NBA? Freshman that dropped 18 and 9 on good percentages. Has a little lefty bully ball in him like Julius Randle, but he's taller. Surprised a lot of mocks don't have him drafted at all, but surely worth a flyer in the late 1st/early 2nd?

WCJ isn't the same type of athlete or slasher as OO, but OO has yet to show much shooting touch. OO would be considered the higher-value prospect since there is the potential that he can expand his offensive game.

He's most likely a backup, but he can bully the **** out of lineups that go small. The question with him is on the defensive end. What happens if he has to guard in space?

I think that Okafor's struggles are going to really hamper the draft prospects of Carey. I think he is a 35-45 pick.

I feel like WCJ has more offensive potential and OO looks like a better BPG guy and maybe a better overall defender. I think WCJ has will be a better man post defender though.

Right now, Onyeka is like a super turbo-boosted version of Tristan Thompson, but he's got potential to expand his game. It's that athleticism and potential that makes him more attractive than WCJ, imo.

Maybe I could see it at 41, but he's not getting 11...

He is being hurt by the anti-Duke big narrative, and the Jahlil Okafor comparison.
But his game does not look to translate to the NBA at least the way Coach K played him (but the 6th ranked player in the country usually don't sign up to play hustle ball in college). College level garbage man type of play doesn't really exist and that projects as his best role. His whole back to the basket play won' t work as he is way less advanced than Okafor at the same age and his rebounding is a bit suspect despite his good size and solid athleticism.
I think the main issue is that teams will need to draft him as a hustle and rebound kind of PF/C, but those kind of players are fairly easy to acquire from veteran free agents with known good track records of play. Drafting a rookie to become that kind of player isn't that appealing when you can stash a guard or wing with more star (or at least good starter) potential.
NBAdraft.net has him at 20...

Re: 2020 NBA Draft II
I look at Vernon Carey as an Enes Kanter type. He's not ideal, but he works. Kanter has been a quality rotation big for Boston this year. Definitely some warts to hide but he has strengths that he brings to the table as well. Okafor, who people compare him to, has carved out a role for himself in NO too.
I think he'll end up fine as a guy you can throw in at center for 15-20 minutes/game and get some inside scoring from. Key will be that he gives effort defensively so a good coach can hide him.
I think that profiles as a second round pick but late 1st isn't out of the question for a competitive team who is really looking to fill rotation spots with cheap rookie deals over shoot for the stars.

Do you like Carey Jr or Isiah Stewart better?

I think I'd lean Carey because I think he's just a little more polished. I don't see either really breaking out in a major way so you're looking at a role player for your rotation, and I just feel VCJ is more ready.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft II
Carey is going to be unplayable in the NBA. The Kanter comparison doesn't make any sense. In no universe is he playable for 15-20 minutes.
Okafor was better at everything Carey does and look how everything went for him.

Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

He is definitely a hard one to project. To me it's as this:
Floor: Stanley Johnson
Middle: OG Anunoby
Ceiling: Ron Artest
