That half vs Purdue broke him.

Wow. I'd guess this is a reminder on how much pressure there is on all this for young people. He probably could've quit and stayed at UW on scholarship similar to what happens if a football player has a career injury. Chances are UW would probably honor that anyway if he wanted.

It's clear he's dealing with some emotional issues right now. I hope he finds the help he needs. Hang in there kid.

Just a hunch but that half was a symptom and not the cause.

What pressure are you referring to? Playing basketball?

Taking a bunch of college classes, managing time to study for these classes and practice, oh and performing in front of thousands of fans in person and millions more watching on TV? Other than that, yeah, no pressure.

Even people who aren't in the spotlight feel pressure at that age for reasons that become minuscule as you age.

Yea I'm sure you'd feel no pressure playing in front of 18K people with millions watching at home. Pressure to not let your teammates and coach down. Then getting criticized online and at your twitter if you screw anything up.

Anxiety may not be a real experience to you. Sounds like you have it mastered, good on you. But for many in the world's population it's real and affects every aspect of their lives. A skill you may not have mastered is empathy. Fear not, it can be learned and developed.

The problem is people assume something that is not even close to what I was going to say. Part of a discussion is fully understanding the other person's perspective. And if I cant ask questions to make sure I do fully understand their perspective than it's going to be a stupid discussion between 2 ppl that likely agree.

Just like what's happening now.

2 things can be true at the same time.

1. King felt pressure of playing basketball, college, etc and couldn't handle it

2. People with no full rides, have to borrow a ton of money, study, work, and worry about getting a job with tons of debt, is just as stressful

Thanks for adding to the discussion

Since this is a message board and we can't see your face while you type, might be helpful to add a little context in your posts. Just a suggestion.

Or try not always assuming the worst out of people's posts? There were no green letters presuming I was trying to trick some1.

Is there proof that he is leaving because of pressure of ball and college or is that just a guess?

Not a trick question....

Pritzl signed with a **** Serbian team from just outside Belgrade. Dunno whether this is going to work out, but I expect this experience to generate a lot of interesting stories :)

4-star F from Nicolet Graham picks Maryland.

Would love to have him, will provide the "I've cooled on him thought:"

He went from middling 3-star prospect to high 4-star prospect all while games weren't being played. Looks like a tall shooter with solid skills. Good luck to him there...Maryland is good.
